Would you recommend the g7 over the g100?
ОтветитьG100's stabilization is electronic, which will crop in and not as effective as in-body stabilization or optical stabilization.
ОтветитьYour content is always amazing.
Please change model atleast for audience purpose and collaborate with other creators and models.
It’s good to see new faces / people / collabs/ model / scenery etc in the videos and makes everything new and interesting to see change.
Just found your channel, I really like your content. When you mentioned stabilization and that people care too much - for me, the in body optical stabilization makes handheld footage look a lot better. The warp stabilizer distorts the image too much in my opinion, I just dont like the look. Seems cheap to me.
ОтветитьOk so I first saw this video about a month ago, sold me on the g7 I end up buying it & immediately regretted spending the money on Sony wow incredible wish I saw this sooner. Thanks Markus great video
ОтветитьMy first Lumix Camera still it. I shot interviews and it is always on the job. I highly recommend this camera for beginners. It will help you lean photography and videography the right way. I have taken thousands of photos and they stand up against my GH5. With the kit lens or any of the Lumix lenses you will get amazing images. Thank you Marcus, it is nice to hear folks talking about a great camera and as I have stayed with the MFT system it has paid off for me.
ОтветитьWe are sure she have mo feature then we can imagine
ОтветитьThis video gave me the confidence to click buy now on the G7
ОтветитьMan you are so right ! I think someone should create an international G7 fan club ! We are millions :-) All the best :-)
ОтветитьI know Marcus these people on here are amateurs always talking about stabilization the G7 is a very good camera there's no question about it I watch Chris he took some amazing pictures with the
ОтветитьI love my G7! It's my daily carry workhorse camera. It's insanely light weight and as you said, a joy to work with. You got some banger pics of your model - very sweet!
ОтветитьI just got this Camara as a Christmas gift, never own I professional Camara before..not even and a average good brand in years.. image since the 35mm , 😮 well the average person uses cell phone but I like taking photos not selfies and specifically this year that fall was splendid and long .. I saw so many people out with great camaras and the bigest lences I have ever seen ..I have been playing with the camara a few hours and it didn't take long to understand basic settings and to use the futures so far my favor is the profile future and all the diferent options to take profile pictures even of panoramic landscapes, sky lines and more than one options with backlight I can wait to put hands-on and be able to learn how to focus the lences that what I find dificul... The Wi-Fi sharing is also trouble some from me...but I'm very happy with the camera..I think is the best gift I ever received ❤..
Ответитьawesome Markus - the g7 is still great😁
Ответитьcorrection:
you can find the G7 at 250 bucks, writing this in early 2024.
that being said, if you cant find it at 250, but rather at 500 as mentioned in this video, maybe a more compelling buy would be a G9, brand new, at under 800 bucks.
I still have my G7 and I use it with the sigma 56mm f1.4 for portraits and Panasonic 25mm f1.7 for general pics. I have got some great pictures out of it.I have been wondering if I need to upgrade but this video has convinced to wait till I really need to.
ОтветитьI have the G7 and its amazing. I have shot a whole documentary film with it with just the kit lens. I always use there recommended ex company lenses withe the camera because they are matched by engineers. So I never play around with that. The documentary is in post production and I will be sharing it soon. Thinking of sending it to the Oscars. I don't know if I am late for this year..One has to see artistically and compose their shots and light them better. Imagine taking a side pic of that model in the bikini (e.g. a bikini advertisement). Do a little Rembrandt lighting to create shadows and add depth, set the correct aperture shutter speed or choose exposure if you're in auto mode and click. One more thing is that the model needs to pose correctly, give them guidelines. Thats it you'll have great images with this or even your cellphone.
Ответитьthat camera has a nice rack
ОтветитьI'm looking to buy my first mirrorless camera and I'm considering getting one of these. It seems they are still in production.
Ответитьim about to order one of these, i want it to capture some of my live performances.
I have a Sony HD MV1 thats made for recording live music, however the video just aint that great. The audio is fantastic though. I am gonna get a sennheiser mic with the kit im buying and the telephoto lens as well. Hope it all works out, if i can get similar results to what you got in this video then it will be worth it to me. Thanks for the video and helping me decide.
The G100 does NOT have IBIS.
ОтветитьMarkus I wish you would try out an OM 5 (or its predecessor the em5 iii)…small, light, good AF and many would say great colors. Fits many of the requirements of the great small cameras that you love! Would be great to see your take on it!
ОтветитьCOMO SIEMPRE... MARAVILLOSOS VIDEOS. YO TENGO 2 G7 Y ME ENCANTAN! SALUDOS.
ОтветитьAny advice on how to activate the hdr? It’s grayed out on my menu.
Have you tried the Oly 40-150 2.8 on this or any other m4/3 cameras? I just bought one and love it.
Olympus cameras have "OM" written on the front of them yet every reviewer calls them "EM". This is very confusing. Is there something wrong with my ability to read? Help!
ОтветитьPretty interesting that a 396g camera has 3x times the weight of a 410g camera
ОтветитьIsn't the EM10 IV literally lighter then the G7?
ОтветитьWow Markus you have the most engaging videos and so knowledgeable love your channel.
Ответитьwow stewart from mad tv is all grown up 😁
ОтветитьMarkus you have rapidly become my favorite photographer channel to learn and watch! Thank you for your work!
ОтветитьDo you like this better than the Sony that you recommended?
ОтветитьThe video that I was looking for, buying one right now
ОтветитьIf Kellyanne Conway was a porn star
ОтветитьI love my G7. It is such an amazing camera.
ОтветитьI just bought a barely used G7 from 2016 with a 14 - 42 lens.......for 200 Euro..... everything what is told about the G7 in Markus video is spot-on!
ОтветитьIBIS is over-rated for an experienced photographer except in some special situations like handholding a 300mm+ lens. I notice that a lot of people when they push down on the shutter button the camera is pushed down as well. They need IBIS too 😀
ОтветитьI have always loved the look of this colorway on the G7.
ОтветитьThe reason you had no issues with AF is because you're not shooting in 24p?
ОтветитьMy friend, the first time I saw you, I thought you had escaped from the 90s 😅, sorry for this out-of-context comment, but this is what came to my mind all the time.😅😅😅
ОтветитьThanks,

I've been using the Lumix G85 for 2 years now. It's a great camera for video. Thanks for showing those features. Just switched from 4K to 1080 to save storage space. Though the 4K does allow for some great cropping and zooming in editing. Didn't know about the 4:3 aspect ratio for photos, or the 1:1 to make it look like a large format. Thanks for your enthusiasm and helping me see the light with the many possibilities this awesome little camera has. I still like my Nikon D700 for stills, but this Lumix weighs a lot less, has the fully-articulating flip screen, and can shoot video for at least an hour without overheating (more likely the card will be full or the battery will die first).
ОтветитьIBIS comes in handing for other things shooting with long lens so what you are looking at is not shaky. Or taking macro photos with slow shutter speed when you need to stop down. Sometimes you might want to get a photo of a ballroom and if you can get that slow shutter its a big help.
But Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8 and Panasonic 35-100mm f2.8 have IS in the lens.
There is a trick that if you put something in the tripod hole and then a string and then step on the string so the camera won't shake.
Panasonic still selling this camera in 2024.
Panasonic Lumix are underrated !📷📸
Legendary is the PanaLumix G7 🧡.
Thanks for all Markus🙏.
I suscribe !🤝
Greetings from Reunion Island 🇷🇪🏝️🏖️🌋🌅🌄🦎.
Just bought one for £230 on eBay 🙌 upgrading to my first mirrorless
ОтветитьAlways entertaining and informative 😊
ОтветитьThanks for making this video and for teaching me more about my G7. I’m going to buy another one. I really love this camera.
ОтветитьJUST GOT A G7. $175. Let the games begin!!!
Ответитьmight get meself a g7 tattoo
ОтветитьAn ace camera plus a genuine true report. Thank you.
ОтветитьI discovered it has not just a time-lapse feature, but a stop-motion feature! It should be a no-brainer for engineers to add this in for little work, but it seems a lot of other companies didn't think of this. If you're not determined to get the shallowist depth of field, I recommend it. Also, having an MFT camera makes it easier to find cheap/DIY/quirky lenses; I have a DIY tilt lens, an awesome swirly-bokeh C-mount lens I got for $18, a shift adapter. I love the dials; I only wish there was an ISO dial. I bought mine for something like $200 or $220 through OfferUp, used--and it has 4K and eye-detection! It can do so much of what my Canon R6 can do at a fraction of the price. Don't get me wrong; my R6 is my favorite camera, but for the price, this is a great buy and I might recommend it as a first-time camera for the beginner photographer.
