Shooting digital video like Super8 film - JVC GR-DVL9000 camcorder review

I had this camera in 2000. It works after 23 years. Incredible camcorder

I congratulate you for the great content of your channel. I have watched many of your videos over and over again. I would like to ask you what model of video camera would you recommend for someone who wants to obtain a result retro and it is easy to digitize the recorded material.

I have seen that Kodak Super 8 Camera from 2018 and it's just sad seeing it unreleased.

Wonderfully thorough video on this JVC gem. I have a DVX100 which was well known at its release for having 24 progressive video, a lot like cinema-like film movies. Although I wasn't around for the release, I'm sure 24p DV video caused quite a stirrup just like the DVL9000!

Does it have to break DV standards to not use interlacing ?

Interlacing caused me to produce loads of coasters when trying to make DVDs from a Hi8 camcorder. The foothae looked great on a computer screen but I had the DVD interlacing set the wrong way. Consequently it would look great on the DVD until the camera panned and then everything would break apart.
