just came across this guide - this was great! I just finished Eureka orthos solo and planning to try PotD next, wondering how much different or harder it is!

Do you think is it possible to solo clear PotD as Samurai?

I'm going to echo what many people have said and say thank you for making this. Not only were the other resources that you linked like Maygi's guide, AD's videos, etc all very helpful in their own right, but having your video to reference when I needed to remind myself how each enemy fights helped me visualize and plan out what I needed to do to succeed. This video was what I kept going back to before tackling each floorset on my serious runs.

Im a bit late but I have a question abt the raise pomander.

If it wont let u progress with 1 death, then why use it? I died on floor 97 once and had raise up but it still counted as a KO and I couldn't continue to the upper floors. The achievement is floor 1-200 no deaths, right? So even if u die on floor 199 with a raise, u wont get the achievement?

How do you get the UI transparent like that?

Why is my HP significantly lower than yours? AP is 99/99, using food, all the same things in place, I've just now noticed this huge HP discrepancy!

My my3rd attempt I died at round 17 or 18 by a trap of 3 mobs

As somebody who has to use wifi, there's one extra bit of RNG for PotD: having zero DCs the entire run. I've lost too many runs in 151+ just due to random lag spikes of no more than a few seconds. And PotD easily takes over 6 hours even if you're rushing the early floors.

Basically, just use a network test program and monitor your connection for 8 hours. If you see any lag spikes of more than maaaaybe 2 or 3 seconds, then be warned. It can and will happen to you too, and your Necromancer run will have that extra bit of luck required for your internet to not have any hiccups. It really does take something that minor to end your entire run even if you do everything perfectly...

Honestly as a new player with an obsession with rare stuff and taking on big challenges I was torn between going for Necromancer or The Hand of Creation, but watching your video has swayed me completely toward Necromancer. Great video dude. I'll see you on the other side.

After watching this I think it’s time.

Fight against Anzu floor 170 -180: ( do as i say not as I do ) hahaaha

Using this guide as a guideline, I was able to get to the upper 170's on my first two attempts, and on my 4th (I tried warrior) i got to 199, but the entirety of 190+ i got 0 rages, 0 reso's, 0 strengths, and 0 flights or alterations, and got 9 intuitions.

I was stressed for time (around 4 minutes left) and speedran for chests, ended up dying to a mimic that was a yellow chest, and a wraith.. really depressed about it, cause I was so, insanely close, but hopefully next run I do will be the clear. Great guide, overall really helpful.

Hi I've wanted to say thank you so much for the guide! I recently decided to try to go for the solo clear and it's been really helpful. I've never been to these late floors
Today I made it to 179 before not having any rage left made it hard on that last floor but I'm confident I can make it back and hopefully work on my pom usage
I also got a Night Pegasus whistle my first time on the 150s :)

So do you have to do floors 1-200 in one run to get the title?

A while back, when trying to get to floor 100, I realized one thing: the game has a sneaking mechanic. Not stealth like ninja, but actual sneaking... Like going behind roaming enemies so they don't see you.

the uh, red mage & mch thing, isnt real right? its just, narratively, better... or at least, better, at aether upgrade phase and gathering potshred since, narratively, might waste less as well... :\

Always really happy to see more resources for PotD. I want to dedicate time to progging at some point.

May be a dumb question but which settings do I have to tweak to have your pom menu so clear, I'd love to have mine this way

Amazing video. Saving this. I got high roller between Shb and EW and this is my next big long term goal.

After a couple high level fails on RDM I switched to MCH and succeeded fairly quickly. What I did was have two save slots running at the same time so if I did fail I wouldn't be as discouraged to start over completely and you're more mentally prepared since you were just at that floor level. When I did that I got back to back floor 200 clears. The reason I stopped trying on RDM was mimics are annoying and interrupted casts at the wrong time can really piss you off.

Currently running floor 62 as MCH I just wanna aim for floor 100 only for the weapon glam. Don’t really care about title heck I always hide mine and other people titles in this game

Theres no way im attempting to solo this. I have lost on count how many times i have disconnected there. I found most efficient way for me to farm aetheryte arms is doing floors 1-10.

It boggles my mind that even though Red Mage is probably the best option to clearing 200 floors people queue up and slog through it with tanks and healers

Is there any other things we need to worry about if we are to do this on controller?

Think you're the second person I've seen talking about how to do this. Appriciate this video. I'm not at a point where I'm ready to try this, I've only done some of the starting floors solo. It's something I want to do in the future, just focusing on other stuff at the moment. Not even using it for leveling because it was too frustrating. It does look really fun though.
