Starlight has all that build up for what was basically the equivalent of a punch. Maybe if she blinded or burnt Solider Boy it would have been more impactful but he shook it off straight away…

To me Starlight represents people who usually don’t feel strong enough to go against the all powerful but proves that a little bit of courage goes a long way. She may not be powerful enough to neutralize Soldier boy but she’s not alone, her attitude has been inspirational all season and instead of spewing hate and whining like some, she used her skills to rally people to her cause, people like Queen Maeve who are a lot stronger than her and that helped her get rid of the real danger. I also loved how Queen Maeve overcame her fear of Homelander. This season was awesome. And Starlight went from a character I could not stand to someone I’d like to be like, yeah, even if I’m a 6’4 black guy.

I cant wait to see starlight at her full potential one day

What's interesting is that Starlight can actually fly. She just needs to be in a really bright room.

The people saying Starlight's moment was anticlimactic are missing the point entirely. This isn't an underdog rising up moment, it's showing us that even with a significant boost to her power she alone just can't compete with Soldier Boy. Thats what i like about this show. Some people are just that powerful and it takes a team effort to effectively take them down. Having Starlight miraculously gain the ability to singlehandedly do damage to Soldier Boy would make everything The Boys stand for redundant. Its not about being the most powerful, it's about doing what's right even whilst knowing it could fail.

Hughie helping lift up Annie rather than himself was a great story beat.

I love how M.M calls Soldier boy Racist because he killed his grandfather, he didnt do it because he was racist but because he was wreckless, that pisses me off bro i swear

Their biggest mistake was not taking out Homelander first before Soldier Boy. Homelander is much more of a threat to beat.

Two mild criticisms:
> While I'm happy Maeve survived that blast she really shouldn't have done. Just LOOK at the size of that explosion
2. The Novichok in that bottle should have killed everyone else in the room before it stunned Soldier Boy. That mask can't be completely airtight and it's so lethal that the tiny amount of gas leaking out the sides would be deadly

I will never understand why the went with the fucking "racist" line there for with MM. 0% sense made. Literally nothing Soldier Boy did in the entire season points to racist tendencies. In fact, he was probably the only character in the entire series that actually managed to reflect on his own shortcomings in a meaningful way, and then they just go "hurr durr, u racist". Did him dirty...

All this was just annoying, butchers like ay soldier boy let's take down homelander, but everyone can't figure out that they could freeze soldier boy again after he helps with homelander, or help him become more normal, but everyone throws a hissy fit and fights soldier boy instead, making sure that he never helps again, and leaving homelander a threat again lmao

And... it became another "supernatural" with teenager emotions and goofy hand to hand combat in which superbeings prefer slap each other for cheap drama instead of using their super weapons. Seriously, this director is one trick pony, every show same story structure.

Starlight is supposed to be growing. She started to fly, knocked down and stunned Soldier Boy, and then quickly helped restrain him, which was actually a good contribution. Better than I remembered. She's learning and getting stronger.

The ending was lame af and made no sense. How Maeve survived the fall and the blast? If she survived that why they were worried about Ryan despite Homelander being Infront of him? How did she overcome Homelander? They also went up against Homelander with no strategy at all.
