Thank you! This appears to have worked. The console now shows the toner is at 100%, was at 12% with 294 total pages. Toner Low alert happened at 283 total pages. I wish I would have found your vid before ordering a TN760 to replace the starter toner.

Firmware is (US) Z.1.12

Time will tell how many "extra" pages we can squeeze out. Gonna print at least 20 today.

Sorry, but I read somewhere that it doesn't have the possibility to print on A5 sheets (half of the A4 format) but is something like this possible?

I put in a new drum and new toner and when i open the cover I get the COver Open prompt in yellow and no matter how fast I am on pushing the buttons I get no progress in resetting the drum. Any other options on getting it to recognize the drum HAS been replaced? The toner shows full but still get the "replace drum" prompt even after putting in new drum. Beyond frustrated

Lol wasn't looking for the "reset" function but how to remove and replace cartridge. Good thing I saw your video because before this I was trying to replace cartridge from the back side of printer 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Ouch, did not work! All I get is the message "Cover is open." Of course I tried the official Borther FAQs site and they offer NO HELP at all, so thanks for the posting.

Thank you so much. Worked perfectly. Shame on brother for forcing us to waste toner, money and the environment! It's a good printer (I have several at office and home) and very reliable (the former MFC 7440 did almost 10 years of heavy use), but soooo much toner and money waisted up to date.

THANK YOU! This worked like a charm. It remains to be seen how much more yield can be squeezed from of this reset maneuver, but the fact that it's working fine again after this 10 second fix is a black mark on Brother. If the company would at least suggest this fix before plunking down $75 for a new cartridge, it would show some respect for loyal customers. Naughty-naughty, Brother.

Can you do another video on how to change the cartridge? The paper instructions I have are from China and make no sense. My L2750 is very unhappy.

Thank you, this worked for me. The toner still prints fine. The fact that Brother was not letting me make copies until I bought a new toner cartridge when the one I had was working just fine makes me doubt I will ever buy another Brother machine. I have bought many over the years but this is a fast way to lose a customer.

Thank you so much! We replaced the toner cartridge on our 18 month old Brother printer, and we couldn't get it to recognize the brand new, Brother toner cartridge, no way, no how. I did your reset, and viola! It is now printing, no problem. :)

Hi I have this model. Can you please scan a doc to pc and the print that scanned file. Does the printout have a dotted grid background? Appreciate if you can confirm if this is normal and a way to turn this format off?

The profit schemes in the toner industry are one of the biggest scams in recent history. It's ridiculous how much they demand for an OEM cartridge which isn't even completely filled with toner, yet you can get powdered toner refills for almost a tenth of the price and completely refill your toner which lasts much longer.

Worked for me by two cartridges . On other two it won't work. I tried all 3 options to reset them but at the end it shows still empty. Have some one the same problem depending on cartridges? All are original from brother.
