I know this is a bit older video but I just wanted to voucher for the PEH, windows and Linux privilege escalation courses. This is my first time seeing this video but this is literally the exact path I've taken. I'm PNPT certified, working through TJ Nulls list now and plan on saving up for the OSCP next. Awesome advice, and has done great for me. Oh and for the networking basics and foundations, tryhackme's pre security course and network fundamentals path are fantastic to get started if you're coming from 0. Take that knowledge, then go and build upon it yourself. Applied learning like tryhackme makes it way easier

I just ended eJPT and I'm working on PNPT. I did like 70 boxes on hackthebox and I'm still working on it but I was wondering if OSCP is a good choise just after this 2 cert or if it's require more experience. I heard that OSCP is very hard and maybe after just this 2 cert will be hard to pass OSCP. What do you think? :)

Dude OSCP is crazy expensive. I have the feeling that all this cert thing it's just a money sucking machine. Be real: just take a look to the job posts. The gatekeeping is insane. They ask you for degrees, thousands of dollars of certs, years of work experience etc. and that proves the fact that you have to be rich before pursuing a cybersec career.

I heard about cyber security during covid. I started a degree in cyber security and quit 3 weeks later. Instead, I taught myself for free online and had a job by the end of the year. People don't believe me that I started on $100k as a penetration tester without any certifications or qualifications, but its true. I never had any IT or computer experience before I started learning. I have offered to teach people everything in a 3 month intensive course but I realised how hard it is to tell someone they can have a job with $100k without any qualifications, they just dont want to know or believe its true.

An entire career in 3 months...

I have qualifications now btw. The company I work for paid for any certifications I wanted

What if I don't want a Degree or Certification. I don't want a job in the field. I just want the knowledge and work from home. Is that a good or bad thing

I struggle due to Soo much stuff to learn plus, having to take a lesser role until you are good enough. So I feel I won't reach that level. 😢

I think if you know how to learn, you will be good at anything you have interest in, and thats kinda the advantage of having a degree, which proves you know how to "learn" i guess .

Hello, i have a question. When I connect the mt7601u wifi adapter with chipset to the linux (via virtual machine) in the virtual machine in windows 10, then take the wifi adapter (mt7601u) from the virtual machine and connect it to windows 10 again, it sees the internet networks, but cannot connect to the internet. If I remove and plug in the wifi adapter or turn off the computer and turn it on again, it connects to the internet. Why when I connect to windows after wmavare (or virtualbox) it fails to connect to internet first? Do you have such a problem with any of your own wifi adapter? Do you have an opinion on this? (There is no problem in Linux. If I do not connect it to the virtual machine, there is no problem in windows. Also, this does not happen with wn722n wifi adapter) . There is no problem in Windows or Linux without using a virtual machine. It's like it can't automatically get an ip address from the modem when it is taken back to windows with the program from the virtual machine. But why?
