happy, happy, happy. only a hand full of streamers, lets players actually respect the lore of Horizon. so many just power through as fast as they can to finish as quick as possible. but the devs put so much into Horizon it needs to be apprecaited. a lot of hours and hard work went into the dev of Horizon. its nice to see someone that takes note and complements the devs on it. its a great story and the art is fantastic. and yes the concept meeting most likely went "ok what to kids like... dinos says one, another said robots. a third said how bout robo dinos? and Horizon was born.

Hey didn't have much time lately but will catch up withy our playthrough. LOVE that you are playing this game you will enjoy it it is gorgeous and gameplay is challenging at first but really really fun. :)

After you've finished the game, both the base game and the Frozen Wilds, check a channel called Random Side Quest, the guy running the channel has the best lore, story, machines and tribes. Have fun with Horizon and the world it offers!

3 most important spoiler free beginner tips I can give:

1. Go to your notebook, in there is a machine codex. Its shows you information about each machine, what each component does, what their weaknesses are. Read ALL of it. Every time you see a new machine, scan it with your focus and it will get added to your codex. Use this knowledge to fight different enemies.

2. Don't forget you have that slow mo concentration skill. It recharges fast. Use it lots. If you want even more slo mo, get used to jumping or sliding frequently, some people actually abuse this but up to you. It makes shooting off specific components or, say, stealth headshots MUCH easier.

3. Prioritize the foraging skills in your skill tree.

As far as two things you asked, to clarify:

1. You saw the glowy messages by the direction markers because of your focus. Notice how there are tribal symbols above the text? Your focus is automatically translating that text to English and displaying it, hence the glowing purple text.

2. Fast travel: please read this as the way this works is unique to this game. You can fast travel FOR FREE from one campfire to another. Fast traveling from ANYWHERE requires using 1 fast travel pack item.Eventually, later in the story, you can buy a "gold fast travel pack" from specific merchant, this is an unlimited use fast travel pack.

I think you are going to really love the lore and how the world became the way it is. And energies to you for your memories of this day, your mom and dad and everyone

Glad you're playing this. It's such a great game.

Gameplaywise it's the familiar, Ubisoft-like huge-map-side-quest-hunt thing but the imagination of the setting, great characters and lore and beautiful visuals rise it far above yet another Assassin's Creed or Far Cry.

I'm so excited this is my second favorite game behind the dragon age series.
