Why do people buy these things? The figure I understand but that can be sold on its own, the other stuff is just useless garbage.

Looks like that torrent client might just get booted up again. Would rather give 50 bucks to a good vpn provider to safely download this "from other sources" then pay epic games.

And I don't mind on which store this game comes out. I'm not interested in it. It is good for the competition, that it gets released first on Epic and not on steam. And Steam really needs competition.

Jesus christ people are dumb. The general public is stupid, I knew that, but do you really not have enough brain cells to handle having more than one icon for a game launcher on your task bar? Not to mention that as a developer you are getting a far better deal with Epic than with scumbag uncle Valve. If you like the product and want to support the developer by buying the game, you should be happy it's on Epic store and not Steam.
This only proves that the only way to actually create a competition for Steam is forcing it via exclusive deals because the average 85 IQ Joe clearly isn't flexible enough to do anything differently, anything new sucks, hell it probably took him 3 years just to learn how Steam worked and now you expect him to learn how to use a different launcher? Heresy.

To all the people complaining about the Epic deal (and rightly so), don't take it out on the developers. Deep Silver were the ones that orchestrated the deal, not 4A Games. If you want to support the devs but not deep silver then buy a physical copy for console (if you have one ofc, otherwise don't).

Cool package, the patches and postcards look cool, but I can’t really approve of the figure, the details and quality look pretty bad for a spartan edition that’s like 200+ bucks. I would rather buy a 75 buck anime figure that looks twice as good, and then get a 60 dollar version from steam,

Sadly I am no longer anticipating anything from this game as I will nit be buying it. No epic games for me.

This fucking thing was supposed to never go on sale officially ( the collector's edition ) I was damn excited for the game until all of this bullshit , They were trying to do something unique with their collector's edition and the game.
Now they've sided with epic, pulled out of steam after months of pre-order availability, Have Denuvo on their game, and are now selling a collector's edition.
Speaking of denuvo , I might have to wait a few weeks or months to be able to play this game but there's no way I'm giving any money to them or epic with its shitty store.

I'll be revisiting both Metro redux games over the next couple of weekends, I'm also thinking of streaming it on my ps4 thru twitch so that those who haven't bought the games can also enjoy the story
