It's time for Case to get into the automatic knife scene bigtime. Push button, OTF, etc. States are starting to lift bans on these kind of knives. In my home state of Tennessee you can now carry any pocket knife you want. 😎👍

The CASE XX mid-Hunter kickstart is the worst new CASE XX that I ever bought. The mid-hunter kickstart rattles with blade is fully opened when shaken. I sent my 2018 red mid-hunter back to WR Case XX. The knife does not rattle when you shake it fully opened , but it opens slower and not fully. I have bought three Trapper-lock Kickstart Case XX knives. I have one arm and the Trapper-lock Kickstart is the best CASE XX knife made for me. The Mid-hunter kickstart is a piece of junk that receives the better knife scales. Take your new Trapper-lock Kickstart out of the box. Clean it , oil it , and open it 50 times. My second and third Trapper lock kickstart worked perfectly out of the box. The Trapper-lock kickstart is the best new CASE XX design and the Mid-hunter kickstart is a piece of junk.

This mid hunter kickstart knife rattles and sucks. I have one arm. I open my CASE XX trapper-lock kickstart with my index finger. I open my old trapper-lock the same way , just a little slower.

I would really appreciate a swing guard on these, otherwise I might pick one up if they do one with the new Jigged purple bone

Nice. But why oh why is the clip set up for left hand pocket? Most of us usually like to clip a knife in pocket so the blade is against the outer pocket seam. With the way these knives are set up that would mean the knife is intended for left hand pocket. I've noticed the same on many Case knives with clips that are China made...

There is a break in period. It took me 2 weeks of EDC to get broke in so it deploys as shown. I have the red, white and blue kirinite.

I've always liked/carried trapper model pocket knives. I love the look of the bone scaled one on here. Loved the thumb stud, the open assist, and the liner lock would be handy. The only drawback was it's a single blade, where as most trapper models have 2, and as soon as I saw the Case name, I thought it would be out of my price range. Sadly, I was 💯% correct.
