Unfortunately, there is a huge gap between understanding the theory of 1-4 (pretty easy) and realizing (or even understanding) tip 5.
1-4 is like learning the alphabet and 5 is like being a skilled and experienced poet. :/ Where did all the notes suddenly come from?
You are doing what every teacher does you play the scales like a pro but a beginner is just mystified by the speed of your fingers and the theory of jargon of roots and fundementals notes and you showing off how great you are.
ОтветитьThis was by far THE most helpful video I’ve encountered so far 🎉
Ответитьgood teaching thank you!!
ОтветитьThanks sir 😊
ОтветитьI'm still lost
ОтветитьCan i start in position 5 instead of position 1
ОтветитьLesson 6….learn your open strings for each key.
ОтветитьExcellent thanks again paul I definitely learned a few things 🎉
ОтветитьI've been simply playing guitar whit chords an some fingerpicking FOR 15 YEARS(because I never actually bothered with understanding this stuff). You just opened my world.
ОтветитьYou play well but…. Ya dont explain how the notes are arranged. Why
A. C.
D. E
G. A.
C. D
E. G.
Why this order? Explain the intervals too
This guy always seems more interested in showing off then actually teaching you anything. This video is a perfect example. It didn’t touch on major versus minor Pentatonics. He seems bored with the five shapes. They all sound the same. Yada, yada, yada. I don’t recommend this guy at all.
ОтветитьCan we talk about how beautiful Paul’s fretboards are. How do I get rid of the finger gunk on mine?
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьPutting the capo on really just turned a light on for me with chord shapes and scales and gave me something to practice. Great lesson!
Ответитьhm i dont get anything im like the students that learned all 5 shapes but dont know what to do with it you just go right into soloing how do i end up like that i learned the shapes months ago came back to it the same
ОтветитьThank you so much 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️
Ответить❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьEm =G
Am=C
I have to say I have explored multiple videos regarding the pentatonic scales, the caged system and I have to say, this video explains these in the clearest and most easy to understand ways.
I have played guitar for 18 years and am relearning and rediscovering ways to play the guitar and I have learned a lot with playing along with songs while really just listening to what is played and figuring out which notes fit, until learning the song. Thanks for these clear videos. They really make you understand some core and key understanding
Am I the only one not seeing the relationship between open chords and boxes ? I feel like its too far fetched ... Like ... the EM shape is supposed to be 0-2-2-0-0-0 but he presents its as it would be 0-2-2-2-0-0 somehow
ОтветитьI got confused because the pictures of the boxes were completely the opposite from what your guitar actually is, I was practicing them wrong. I'm not saying it was your fault, I was dumb to not notice that the Low E was actually at the bottom.
ОтветитьHow do you tell which ones are root notes?
Ответитьthe amount of confusion
ОтветитьYour videos are entertaining and easy to learn! Also honestly and no offense, you look like Grigori Rasputin
Ответитьfor learning pentatonics as a beginner.. from my perspective this goes too fast :-D just as a feedback, thanks anyway for your efforts
ОтветитьSchmoke 'n a pancake.
ОтветитьHOWDY WEIRD ACSENT GUY
ОтветитьA bit too much for me at the moment, I think I’ll try sticking to one box and playing around the root notes. I’ll be back later..
ОтветитьWhat is that acoustic? Absolute beauty
ОтветитьHis sense of humor is too good comined with the editing skills and not to mention the guitaring
ОтветитьGenius!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThanks for this!
Ответить"They learn the 5 shapes without knowing what the mean"
ok, now I feel personally attacked...
Thank you so much Paul that really help me to analyse every notes in positions ..
ОтветитьWhy are there 5 fucking shapes!?!? How anybody learns this blows my mind not to mention once you learn patterns for this A minor if you wanna learn another note its different so you have to learn another fuckin 5
ОтветитьThanks Paul. Absolutely brilliant clear instructions....Great playing too!!
ОтветитьAmazing video bro 🤟🏽⚡️
ОтветитьThank You. This was useful, i heard the phrase "pentatonic scale" everywhere and now i know almost everything about it. Love ur channel.
ОтветитьThese videos really make me hate my ADHD brain.
Ответитьtosspot
ОтветитьDo the root notes stay the same no mater where you use the box on the neck? Or are those the roots for the box on 5th fret only?
ОтветитьSounds like "Stairway to Heaven."
ОтветитьBrilliant 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьI don’t understand what’s going on here, yet…but I’m going to like the video anyways and return later
ОтветитьWhich chords could be struck in between the licks if we wanted to do so? Is it just chords from the AMinor scale?
Thanks.
Detail, relax, Clear n helpful. Tx bro Paul.🎸🇮🇩
Ответитьone more sub in me after watching this particular vid Paul...thanks
