Interesting 🤔
ОтветитьMy mother just got married and I helped the flower girl pick hogweed, should I tell someone to keep an eye on her?? 😢
ОтветитьSurprised gympy gympy wasn't included. Maybe it's in another video, guess I'll have to watch them all :p
Ответитьrespect to the people who touched these things for this video
ОтветитьI have rolled around in poison ivy to prove to some of my friends I am not allergic, and have come into contact with it several times because I used to camp every weekend and have never had an adverse reaction. However watching this I'll be sure to avoid it from now on so I can keep my immunity to it lol.
ОтветитьDo not confuse Giant Hogweed [Heracleum mantegazzianum] with 'normal' Hogweed [H. sphondylium] which is harmless.
ОтветитьWhat happened to Hank? Oh my God, he turned into an asian!!!!!!!! I'm shocked!
ОтветитьI walk through poison ivy all the time and never have an issue and I know it's poison ivy because my aunt once walked through the area and had a horrible reaction
ОтветитьNew Maret Jk Has Bar..
ОтветитьI didn’t have the same problems with the three poison plants as others when I was young. Im 63 now, so judging the way I see it tears others up, I’m afraid that like other things with old age, I may have lost my immunity, and I dare not chance it. I have seen people get tore up! For what seemed like months!
ОтветитьI had to throw my head back and cackle because I am that friend. Or rather that mom. I gave my kids the “venomous vs poisonous” lecture yesterday
ОтветитьI see tons of giant hogweed in Connecticut I’m surprised I never accidentally touched it
ОтветитьI knew Garter snakes were poisonous the 1st time I picked one up as a kid it stunk real bad, I couldnt get the smell out of my hands after washing, I dropped the snake and our dog went to pick it up in his mouth and spit it out instantly disliking the taste too. That chemical did its job for sure.
ОтветитьWhat should you do if you suspect you've found giant hogsweed? 🤔 I'm pretty sure i saw some last year along a creek near our dog park. It looked kind of like gigantic queen Anne's lace.
Nm, you just told me 😂
i walk thought poison ivy often ... i pick up my dog at times to carry them over it ... I am of the 10% not bothered by it
ОтветитьWhy would anyone drink snake venom ? Pee U ! Stink I would even stay away from Anybody with snake ear rings .
ОтветитьI used to eat daffodil seeds as a child... unless this is hell, I didn’t die...
ОтветитьIve had poison ivy around my eyes for 2 months now. It's great.
ОтветитьThe Danish word for Giant Hogweed is Bjørneklo which directly translated is Bearclaw. I was taught as a kid to never ever touch it.
ОтветитьI put poison ivy in my mouth before to show off my immunity to it cause I was a dumb kid. Nothing happened but I wouldn't do it again.
ОтветитьHerbivores: Exist
Hogweeds & Manchineel Trees: And we took that personally!
On poison ivy: My brother was burning some yard trash, including poison ivy. He walked through the smoke, inhaling some. Result was:"Don't do that again!"
ОтветитьI've only come into real contact with poison ivy 4 or 5 times but so far so good😅
ОтветитьIs it weird that I don't have the "normal" reaction to poison ivy and oak? Or fire ants either. The things I am allergic to, I'm severely allergic to. Like anaphylaxis reaction. With poison ivy, I get red for about a day but that's it. Then again, I have a lot of skin issues and am usually just itchy in general, but I've always been fine around poison ivy etc. Then again, I also got chicken pox really bad three or four times when I was five and six, so maybe I just don't notice?
ОтветитьMyself and my daughter don't ever get poison ivy and those types of plants.
My son gets it almost every time he goes to the forest without long clothes, while I can run through the forest in shorts and shirtless most of the time, even through briars and thorns.
I just don't get any effect from these plants
Daffodils are poisonous? Oops... when I was in junior school I read that daffodil petals can be used in salads, so for a while I added daf petals whenever I could. 🫣
ОтветитьI imagine having wounds in your mouth, esophagus, or stomach would make getting envenomed easier through consumption
ОтветитьI'm back again to wonder how the hell people trust the carrot family.
ОтветитьWow!
ОтветитьWhat about colchicum?
ОтветитьI NEVER knew snakes can be poisonous but yet again I'm not surprised cause nature has ways of surprising you
ОтветитьI used to play in fields of hogweed. I don't remember getting this reaction? I did spend a lot of time indoors reading and playing videogames. Not everyday though?
ОтветитьThere was a hogweed infestation in a park near me. I reported it to the city, it was gone the next week and it looked like they did a burn??
ОтветитьFugu can be lethally poisonous to humans due to its tetrodotoxin . (emphasis added)
ОтветитьGuess I'm lucky I have never reacted to poison ivy before. I'm not gonna go bathing in it though.
ОтветитьInvasive plants generate allelopathy.
ОтветитьAlkalid or alkaloid??
ОтветитьMy rule of thumb: if I don't know for a fact that something isn't toxic, I don't eat it. It's done me pretty well so far.
ОтветитьWAS AROUND SO MUCH HOG WEED WHEN I WAS A KID CAUSE ITS EVERYWHERE HERE IN EASTERN ONTARIO oops caps sorry, but yeah seen it burn people bad but think im somehow not effected or much at least. made a fort in the stuff one day when my dad came out he was like what the heck you doin boy then telling me what it did to him as i exclaimed uhhh im covered in it... Thankfully I didnt get any burns or rash even. also stupidly made a fort with some buddies in a small sumack forest lol. once again I was chilling my buddies arms and legs where red and they could not stop scratching. kinda forgot about them honestly, anyone know why I didnt seem to be effected?
Ответитьblack market d*u*s&poiseno contract dm mail*o
Ответитьblack m*ar*ket . d@*gs&poiseno see channll contract ma*ilo
ОтветитьMaybe that's why the daffodil is the emblem of cancer awareness week.
ОтветитьSomething that is not mentioned here is that you can actually build tolerance to poison oak. I have seen this first hand. I have always been very sensitive to it. That was untill I went through a winter where I had permanent moderate to serious infection for an entire winter because I could not stay away from it at my work. And after that winter I have to fear it less because now I go through it and maybe get a some small rashes that go away in a week instead of multiple. Or have nothing happen at all. I don't think it's been studied but it's common knowledge up here in Norcal.
ОтветитьReason why you shouldn't drink venom. You might have mouth sores or cavities where it's an open wound. You might also have ulcers you don't know along your digestive tract where the venom can enter. That's why sucking out snake venom from a bite has been discouraged for a long time now.
ОтветитьUsed to be fairly badly allergic to poison ivy, now it only causes rashes when it gets in a cut or other opening in my skin
ОтветитьOne little mistake in the video, Manzanilla doesn't mean little apple, that's Manzanita, Manzanilla is the name of camomile, and it actually means earth apple, just another little interesting fact
Ответить
