The main issue i find as someone coming from other fps games is that lots of the time im used to seeing an enemy and moving around whilst shooting them. But u gotta stay still in valorant.

Imo watching your own vods is only ever useful for very small adjustments and mostly is somewhat a waste of time compared to watching how pro teams are playing.

Telling people to watch their own vods and spotting mistakes only applies to those who already know what they're doing in the round and what purpose they have, but this goes outside of ranked because you only ever start to really understand when you play in a team and find yourself a role to fulfill and perfect over time.

Getting good means playing the game a lot and taking notes from pro teams who have the basics perfected because you're the one that doesn't. Granted that this takes a good amount of time to fully grasp and understand + everyone thinks differently of what they see. I'd say that if you tell them to watch how professional matches are played, it would be more "correct" advice because they can at least take away more things they see from pro matches rather than their own because theyre essentially peeking into a completely different world in terms of how the game is played.
