Brain drain is a real problem here. Countries that are rich get richer. The poorer countries get poorer. We need to take care of our citizens better if we want to make NZ good to stay again.

lol, not surprising. No big business potential due to freight and customs costs, you're slammed with an arbitrary 15% GST tax liability, interest rates are higher for loans. I mean, if you are ambitious, how much of a loser do you plan to be. I don't mean to be a negative nancy, haha, but how can you look at it any other way?! The maths just doesn't stuck up for business, savings, or getting ahead (the salaries are lower while the costs are higher). The only business people are interested in is property. I totally get why they all leave.

In the mean time, Australian are complaining about the same issue and leaving Australia to live in Asian countries for lower cost of living. What we seeing is a big population shift.

Please look carefully at the Aussie economy and your needs in it before you rush off. There are no longer customers for everything dug up, which is flowing through the whole economy in a big way. The future looks worse than experts can ever remember. The only things not shrinking quite drastically are prices of everything.

Suppose I have completed a new zealand diploma in construction quantity surveying strand level 6 from Auckland college of tertiary studies and after that, I can do credit transfer in bachelor in construction quantity surveying in Otago polytechnic institute and my 1.5 years credits transferred then I do my bachelor of 1.5 years and after bachelor complete. I am eligible for 3 years psw. Any wrong in the work permit. Please reply 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 because it's very urgent 🙏🙏🙏

Most people who are leaving NZ are immigrants who have come to NZ from other countries. They get the NZ citizenship and go to Australia. So can you call them real Kiwis?

We need to do the following:
(1) Get a grip on immigration;
(2) Fix the education system - ditch meaningless degree courses & support apprenticeships & vocational training for those with no interest in university;
(3) Stamp out any discussion of apartheid based on racial identity;
(4) Reduce tax & red-tape for small business owners;
(5) Properly resource the health system;
(6) De-incentivise unemployment;
(7) Restrict foreign ownership of residential real estate;
(8) Incentivise exporting & generation of foreign exchange.

I looked thru seek and trade me, thats not the case as mentioned. Advertising jobs is for ppl who has the right to work in NZ even when it is blue collar job. Not any immigrant that landed in NZ and gets employed so easily.

What has changed as we are accepting people who would not be accepted into any other country. They expect us to respect their culture but cannot except ours. For years now we have been downgrading. Those that could afford to leave N.Z did so in the 90's. I left N.Z and emigrated legally to Australia with 10K saved and a wing and a prayer, knowing that by staying in N.Z I would never own my own home. Within 9 years of moving to Australia purchased a three bedroom Federation home on half an acre. Within 10 years I brought my first brand new car and haven't looked back.
I remember in N.Z, that by the time we paid rent, taxes, utilities and food, we didn't have enough money left over to even go to the Movies. I never want to live like that ever again. I do suggest emigrating (you apply from N.Z) because if you don't you are not entitled to anything after the 2 year grace period.

what do NZ really need now and in the future? i may could help in the next 10-20 years (maybe), i had prefer contribute to NZ than my own country indonesia, now its really messed up in here; corrupt government, nepotism, corrupt people, corrupt teachers and its students (me and my friends was thaught to cheat to eachother by my teacher in an exam in order to make a better name for our school rank), hard to get a job, and so many more.
