When it comes to any addiction, it is less about the "it"(drugs, porn, alcohol ) and more about the emotional needs that the addiction is meeting(loneliness, desired to be loved, emotional deprivation, boredom, stress, emptiness, lack of purpose)....it goes back to the idea of wholeness. The emotional need is normal and should be there, but the addiction is not the healthy way to meeting those unfulfilled emotional needs. Through the right type of counseling, people can find healthy substitutes for their emotional needs and heal the root of the problem that is at the core of every addiction. Without this explanation, people can start self condemning and feeling guilty, which can hinder progress. I hope everyone watching can find the proper means for healing the root of the issue while also continuing to receive prayer. Both are important .

I can relate with his story. I used to identify as a lesbian, and I used to watch pornography. To make a long story short, God has given me the strength to turn my back on all of that and run to Him! God is all I need in this life.

I was in the same place with porn, it ruled over my life and my lust in flesh just continued to escalate. Thank God that I was delivered from that hold porn held over me.
