Always keep your eye on the baseball, but cut away for the video replay for every telecast. 😂
ОтветитьWhat's weird about the Carpenter/Helton one, is that Carpenter didn't even see Helton fake the throw. He just got up and walked off the bag
ОтветитьThis is why baseball is the best sport.
ОтветитьI would fire a first/third base coach who let this happen on the spot. What do you even do if you're not watching for this?
ОтветитьWhere's the Evan Longoria one when he pulled ☝️ against the Dodgers?
ОтветитьHenry Rowengartner would be proud.
ОтветитьDidnt get the one simmons did when he was with the braves as well
ОтветитьHaha why would carpenter take his foot off the bag? Didn't make any sense at all
ОтветитьTodd Helton's elite
ОтветитьOmg I could never comprehend how this "pause" between end of the defensive play and next pitch works. The ball is technically live all the time so why would the defense pass the ball to the pitcher at all? Someone pls explain
ОтветитьFirst off: base coaches, what are you doing? Your whole job is to coach the guys that are on the bases. Not that hard. Second: JUST KEEP YOUR F**KING FEET ON THE BASE, DO NOT MOVE UNTIL YOU KNOW THE PLAY IS OVER OR YOU CALL TIME, OR YOU KNOW THE FIELDER DOESN’T HAVE THE BALL ANYMORE! WHY IS THAT SO HARD?
ОтветитьSo it’s cool when they do ball tricks but when I do mine I get a lifetime ban at the YMCA???
ОтветитьId blame the base coach on 1st
ОтветитьWhen does it become a delay of game?
ОтветитьRaise of hands...how many people Googled the word "ignominious" after watching this video?
Ответитьisnt there a rule about cheating the game?
ОтветитьLove those
ОтветитьHidden ball tricks are funny, but honestly it goes against the integrity of sportsmanship in baseball. That wasn't how the game was intended to be played. If you can't win a game at the highest levels the right way, then I don't respect the win you got. You didn't prove you were good at the game or a great athelete.
ОтветитьBaseball needs more of these plays
ОтветитьWith all the unwritten rules, its intersting how this is okey. But Tatis cant swing on a 3-0 count 🤯
ОтветитьBaseball is a backward sport. Pitchers are called for balks for scratching their nose on the mound, yet actually trying to trick the baserunner is not only allowed, but not even considered bad sportsmanship. I don't care if I'm in the minority here, but I like when games are decided by the talent of the players, not technicalities.
Ответитьlmao. the first one done to carpenter was the greatest! lmao. tags base .25-.50 sec after getting tagged! so rad! haha
Ответитьit's not that hard guys (baserunners)... when you get up, remain on bag with feet/hands, then LOOK at the ump directly in the eyes and say 'TIME". wait for ump to CALL 'TIME' till you get off bag. if they DON'T call time, DO NOT get off bag. it's not that difficult.
ОтветитьNever understand why runners don’t ask for time.
ОтветитьI just did that tonight
ОтветитьI’ve watched a fair amount of games over the years, never, ever saw that done!

Classic MLB, forgetting the Rays' hidden ball trick against LAD... 😔
ОтветитьJunior in ''Little Big League''.Top That.
ОтветитьSorry another name for this is unsportsmanlike conduct.
ОтветитьMore hidden balls than a transgender convention
ОтветитьWhy don’t they just learn not to move off the bag?
Ответитьdefinitely isnt a gentleman's game thats for sure.
ОтветитьI know these are within the rules, but isn't this bad sportsmanship?
ОтветитьEven 5 year old players know always to keep contact with the base. These are amateurs.

ОтветитьIs there a worse feeling in sports?
ОтветитьHow embarrassing to be called out while transitioning from being on the ground to standing up after a double or triple.
ОтветитьI've seen a few if those in my lifetime and it was never against my team. I have been watching baseball for over 60 years.
ОтветитьSteve jeltz lol
ОтветитьThanks for the longer clips which give us context...
ОтветитьI don’t know anything about baseball but surely if you’re on a base and the ball has come close to you in a play you wouldn’t move from it until you see it at the mound? It seems really lazy to me.
ОтветитьThe hidden ball trick is a legitimate and strategic part of baseball, not just a technicality. It relies on deception, rewarding alert players while punishing those who lose focus. As long as it follows the rules—such as the pitcher not being on the mound—it’s completely legal. With a long history in the game, it’s a testament to baseball’s blend of skill, strategy, and mental sharpness.
ОтветитьSo-called "hidden ball tricks" are pivotal to the sport of baseball. There aren't many runners called out on them, but they're fundamental to the game.
