I argue that one of my favorite flags, the flag of Bhutan, could be drawn by a child. The dragon would look very bad (maybe more like a snake...) but it COULD be done. Other than the dragon it's just two colors. Wales as well

Omg I just love flags. Idk, there is just something so magical and special about them. I really mean it. Think about it, we associate our entire society, norms, traditions and culture with only a combination of shapes, colors and symbols. Fascinating.

You should redesign many countries flags based on those rules.

Everything on the Australian flag is symbolism.
-The Union Jack because of the commonwealth connection to the UK.
- The 5 stars on the right are the Southern Cross, a consultation only visible from the Souther Hemisphere where we are.
- The big star on the left is called the Commonwealth star and symbolises the number of states plus one for the territories of the Federation.
- and arguably the blue background represents the sky and/or surrounded by sea.
