I am currently playing an Illusionist Assassin Vampire Lord build.

Fire mage is mid? Yeah no mages are more op than any other play style IF you know what you're doing, otherwise just play your weak little stealth archer

But build hard warrior with legendary:ebony one hand sword , ebony hard armor set + monster enchanting It's not bad either.

Everything is relative

Having the invis spell in my left hand and a dagger in my right, while wearing Shrouded armor and having the Sneak perk that makes daggers do 15x damage, I feel completely unstoppable. Also, my mage build is the most broken in the game. I stun lock and kill every single wave of enemies and bosses in just seconds

Edit: All of my schools of magic cost 0 magicka to cast, depending on the armor I wear. I literally cannot die unless I jump off a cliff 😂

Crossbow, heavy armor, restoration. Unstealth archery is superior! Vampires might be cool, but shooting dwarven projectiles through their skull is so much cooler.

I always make the "everything" build. I dont go for a particular sense or direction and use whatever fits me the most in said occasion. Jack of all trades. After some grinding, master of all trades as well

I have an Orc powerhouse, weilds only two handed weapons ,currently an enchanted orcish longaword as it is the best, and actually, only weapon that i have, does not use magic, minus shouts and Berserker rage, loves to forge, and brew potions, also enchanted weaposn do not count as using magic since it does the damage without actually using your Magicka

Alteration can actually be pretty decent, although not on its own. Especially it’s perks that give magic resist. As a Breton with lord stone and magic resistance perk, you have like 75 percent magic resistance. Just do that one temple of Mara quest for the passive that gives an extra 10% and you at the cap of 85% permanently, without potions or gear. And it stacks with elemental resistance, giving like ~97% resistance to elemental spells. This is really good because regular armor doesn’t give any resistance to magic or elements. There’s also magic absorption, which if you raise it to 100% (atronach stone, perks, miraak gear) makes you completely immune to magic, although it also prevents beneficial spells like healing and summons so I prefer magic resistance.

As for its actual spells, paralyze is good but illusion magic is usually better if it works on the target. Most flesh spells aren’t that great, with the exception of dragon flesh, which directly puts you at the armor cap (80% physical damage resistance). The highest you can get with the other flesh spells is 300 something, which gives like 35% damage reduction, and that’s with mage armor perk maxed, meaning you can’t use it with normal armor (side note, armor has an extra, hidden bonus not shown in your armor rating. This bonus is 25 per piece of armor, including shields. This means that even if you have that same 300 armor that ebony flesh gives, if it’s because of armor your actually at least 100 armor ahead). This can be raised by using wards (ew), lord stone, and dragon aspect shout but even then it’s usually worse than normal armor. And dragon flesh, the more powerful spell, only lasts 30 seconds. However, it’s also one of the only master spells that can be dual cast (just hold both buttons, same animation but it will take more magic), raising it to 99 seconds in combination with the perk that makes your alteration spells last longer. This is REALLY expensive magical wise though, so you’ll probably need secrets of arcana from the black books to make it work. In combination with alteration potions to further increase duration, the downsides of the spell are largely negated, making it more practical.

In conclusion, if you really build into it, alteration can make you virtually invincible when combined with restoration. And you can use conjugation to summon, so you don’t actually need to fight. Just sit back and heal occasionally, summon again if they die.

Using alteration spells and perks in combination with other stuff, you can have 85% resistance to magic, 80% resistance to physical damage while fully nude, the ability to paralyze, and most importantly the ability to make torch sized lights (oh and detect living and undead, but eyes can do that too). Pretty cool, if your willing to farm alteration, which sucks honestly.

Lightning mage with unbound storm and electric dragon priest mask is one of the most op builds I’ve ever seen. Plus you can use unbound storm to get insane amounts of xp with the fast travel hack.

What about stealth summoner?

Alchemy build is literally the most broken thing in skyrim (if exploits are included)

Illusionist Assassin is a cool concept. Nothing quite like completing the Dark Brotherhood quests by turning a target mad while the guards do the job for you.

Sword and shield/bow with light armor. ZERO magic. Enchanting/Alchemy to buff

Only Illusion mage is the best imo, not assassin, just a mage (you insta loose to dwemer machines and undead)
