One thing I always wondered. Why didn't Arthur Dayne just let Ned go up to the tower alone.

I never understood why stabbing him in the back was such a big deal. Yes it doesn’t fit with Ned beat Arthur Dwayne but I doubt Ned ever bragged about it. Dwayne just killed his friends. It’s war.

That scene was the reason I stopped watching the show.

Don‘t know why everyone is hyping it. They did everything wrong that was possible.

They just „forgot“ the Lord commander of the kingsguard like Dany forgot about the iron fleet.
The choreography is trash…for some reason Ser Arthur Dayne is dual wielding as if we were in star wars and the others can‘t manage to hit him 1vs4 even when he takes time to deliver a killing blow.
then they just ****ing made that bs story up, that howland stabbed him in the back and Ned has been lying all the years.
In the Books it was 3 vs 7 and all we know is that Ned and Howland survived and Howland saved Ned somehow. Ned never boasted about it. He never even lost a word about it actually.

And some people think Jaimie Lannister in or was on Sir Arthur Dayne's level 😂. He took on 5 at once including a young Ned Stark and beat all 5! Jaimie couldn't beat an old Ned Stark. Dayne on a different video game level than the kingslayer.

This scene is, to me, the best choreographed fight in the entirety of Game of Thrones.
Arthur Dayne was absolutely terrifying in this scene, the respect he commanded was amazing.

The fact rhaegar had Arthur dayne the best swordsmen in Westeros protect lyanna instead of fighting at the trident just….wow he really loved her man

To think, that if Rhaegar would had brought Ser Arthur with him, only leaving Ser Gerold & Ser Oswell behind at the Tower, he would had definitely won the Battle of the Trident and would had been King.

I love the detail, that Ned learns during the fight. Arthur kills one of his man by slitting his throat and pressing their own sword against them, while pushing them on Ned. Just a bit later, he tries the same move on Ned, but knowing what would happen, Ned blocks with his Bracer in addition to his sword

Man, what a disappointment. Why the hell did they give Arthur Dayne , the SWORD OF THE MORNING, two swords for some reason? The choreography is admittedly good, but where the hell is Dawn?
