i'm trying to learn that PROPER arm motion like she does so i can actually hit properly....right now I just rely on jumping (getting my head over the net) and hitting the ball basically with a straight arm / hand and letting the angle of my hand to the floor hit it down.
I want to be able to like pull the ball straight down so I can get it inside the 10' line.
I thought these are the best drills 💓💓👌👌👌

Please don't teach people to stop their arm swing up high: That's a fast way to ruin your shoulder. Unless you're to close to the net, always follow through on your arm swing. Also: The hurdle jump is a no no for me for 2 reasons: unless you're a diagonal player you want to minimize broad jumping because it goes at the expense of height and it increases the risk of crossing the middle line on landing. Plus: The exercise itself unnecessarily increases the risk of spraining an ankle. You could just mark a line on the floor.
Where's the block? Train to hit with resistance.
The positive: The people in this video are obviously very talented and are working very hard to improve. Also: I like the hitting from various distances from the net.

ОтветитьI don't wanna be on the other side of the net though. Almost every attack she landed on the other side of the net... That's a great way to injure yourself or the people your playing against.
