Reviving a Microsoft Zune in 2023

i have the Zune 1st gen, 1000s of songs, they still there, I own them from my cd's, but i can't retrieve them.😢

Microsft sucks, they bricked their own best product. My Zune worked for 10 years, then failed and I couldn't get any used ones to work on my PC.

Release them as a limited edition

It's not common to see a company telling you to hack their own computers to use a discontinued product.

$300 for a music player that does’s appeal to music lovers because it doesnt have a keyboard or album art? Now, I dont know, the Zune may sell very well.

The Zune and Zune Pass were ahead of their time. The only reason I have Spotify now is because My Zune Pass became an Xbox Music Pass, which then got funneled into Spotify when it shuttered. Would love a Zune that runs Spotify so I can have a dedicated music player.

I loved my Zune and used it all teh time with my XB360. I also LOVED my Windows Phone.

And then there’s the ipod still supported on the latest version of macOS haha

Just found my Zune looking through a old bin. It work flawlessly. I'm so surprise Crazy. So many movies Picture and music on it.

You showed why it was underrated. It's software issues were a nightmare. Apple cared about the experience. Microsoft didn't. That is why ONE and TWO and even Windows Phone went to their early demise. Microsoft missed many chances including social networking (messenger), mobile (windows phone nokia) and music (zune). Bad management at MS.

Please revive the Zune Microsoft. I’d love a minimal Zune phone with the basics and a huge emphasis on music playback. I think a lot of us are overstimulated by smartphones today and a Zune phone would be really cool. I’d switch from my iPhone in a heart beat. Even just some updated software for older zunes would be amazing, and a Mac version as well ❤️. Please Microsoft do something for the category, I love my Zune and use it often.

All I want for Christmas... Or better, Today! Is a cable to connect my Zune to AUX on my radio. The zune end broke on the one I had (and used often). I cannot find a replacement cable. Can you help please?

If Microsoft releases another Zune, or Windows Phone. I will support it. I am looking setup my Zune HD again, and I just miss Zune in general

It is so weird to me that Microsoft drops support after XP or Vista and the zune doesn't work natively in your windows yet apple with the iPod works on the newest version of Mac OS something is not right in the heads of the people at Microsoft

I still love my Zune, but i need to replace and upgrade the storage since it crashes on some files when accessed/played.

Where can I purchase a replacement charge port to replace? A few pins broke off inside the Zune.

The only reason zune died is because Microsoft was too late, in the “they put their name on it” department. The iPhone claims another victim.

My friend billy had one ..was one of the coolest mp3 players out ...i had a ipod touch but i still liked the zune for some reason simple but very cool

Please bring the Zune back! It's the only device and sofrware I've found with a dislike button. I have so many songs to sort through, it helps me out tremendously.

I have the 120 GB version (in Red) and have been using it since I bought it (2009 - Ish) This thing holds 1,100 albums, over 13,300 songs in high quality recordings with 10 gig to spare. The unit has the touch to swipe control (joy stick). You will not get bored with that amount of listening material. I now use to the Zune to hear my music on a vintage Marantz receiver. Vintage is back in style.

Says that Zune was underappreciated, while one of its features is called "Squirting".
Yeah, right. Can you believe no one bought it? I sure can.
