Totally surprised by the FAKE Kosher signs. That’s a jerk move by companies (trying to find the nicest way to put that!!) 🤯🤬
ОтветитьThanks for sharing so much awesome information. I have some dietary restrictions (due to allergies and food intolerances) so I have to spend a bit of time reading labels to see if the ingredients are ok for me. I've often gotten foods that are authentic Kosher because of how strictly they're made so I know there isn't cross contamination that would create a major health issue for me and that the ingredients list is accurate. I didn't know that about frozen vegetables, though. I love to learn.
ОтветитьI did not know about Jello and marshmallows!
ОтветитьI was raised Catholic, but have had Jewish friends over the years, and learned much from them. When I was young I was taught that pork products and shellfish are not Kosher. I actually love to learn about different religions and cultures, and your channel is one of the best.
Ответить“I LOVE TO LEARN” Thank you for being a great teacher!
ОтветитьThank you Sara! Your videos are always wonderful to me. You are truly a blessing! I purchased some marshmallows to make fondant for a cake. For some reason, I did not check for it being Kosher. The other I was checking for koster marked foods in my pantry, but no kosher certification. Today watching your videos, I learned why. What do you think of boxing these (non-Kosher) foods and donating to a food pantry?
ОтветитьI love to learn
ОтветитьDid you know Abraham fed the angels milk and meat together? While I eat clean, and follow biblical food laws, it amazes me how many Jews do not read scripture for themselves, but rely on a man to tell them what they can and cannot eat. I do pray for you. Also, we accidentally eat bugs daily. To not eat broccoli because you “might” eat a bug- yikes. The Father is a gardener and told us the fruits of the earth are for us.
Let no man tell you how to follow the scriptures. Read for yourself. That is how I find flaws in christianity and Judaism religions. Jews add to scripture and christians take away.
I always wondered about Kosher vs Halal (sp?) I wondered if they were the same.
ОтветитьI love to learn
Ответитьthe general cleanliness alone makes kosher kind of appealing. cool video, so many great visuals, thanks. be safe! ❤
ОтветитьShalom Sara, skoyach on your hard work and your amazingly calming and educational content! I wrote you a long comment just 2min ago, but realized you've answered my question after I continued your video. I paused to ask you about halal meat. As here in Cologne, Germany there is no kosher grocery store and I am having a hard time finding appropriate meat. I used to live in Montréal, and worst case I could just go to NDG or Cote St. Luc to eat at a deli. Greetings to (seemingly) Québec ❤
ОтветитьI love to learn:) 💖💖💖💖💖🤍💙🕊️🙏🇮🇱🤍💙👋👍🇺🇸❄️🌨️☃️ we're having record cold weather in Florida 🌅🏝️ ⛱️

ОтветитьShalom Shalom Sarah Thank you Again 👭🕊
ОтветитьWhat's the reason behind the separation of milk and meat?
ОтветитьI’m seriously shocked about the bugs in the veggies, after cleaning. Is this typical?? I have never had that experience……as far as I know 😳
ОтветитьI've always trusted foods that were marked Kosher. Didn't know about fake Kosher products. Thank you for letting us know about this. Now I can check and be assured of what I'm buying. 😊P.S. "I Love To Learn"
Ответитьwhy do you not eat dairy and fish? or meat in general
Ответитьwhy are figs not kosher??

ОтветитьI love to learn.
ОтветитьI Love to Learn todah Rabah
ОтветитьThanks for this! I am visiting a very dear Jewish friend, soon, and I want to respect her beliefs in every way. Thanks!
ОтветитьI love to learn! I did not realize that insects are not permitted under kosher laws, and that some products would therefore have to be carefully cleaned and processed before they could be eaten. It also strikes me that in some ways an Orthodox Jewish diet may be healthier compared to a traditional Western diet given that some processed foods might not be available with Kosher certification, or it may be easier simply to choose non-processed foods as many of them (with the exception of meats and some vegetables) would not require Kosher certification.
ОтветитьI was today years old when I learned that Sephardi Jews do not mix milk and fish! (At least I think I had not learned that before.) That makes me feel a little sad, but I'm sure if that's your practice, it's not a loss at all. I am kind of wondering about the reasoning behind it and how it ended up being different from Ashkenazi tradition. Thanks for another great video!
ОтветитьI grow vegetables & fruits at home. I use common nettles to draw pests away from food crops. Nettles are the pests' favourites. I have learned that from Huw Richards' channel that gives tips on organic kitchen gardening.
In washing away bugs from fruits and vegetables, I first dissolve salt in hot water in a glass bowl. Bugs hate salted water and die in it. Give minutes. Move foods around in water. Bugs will separate from foods. Inspect, remove bug-free plants and transfer them to a second bowl of clear water. Wash and rinse.
I love to learn!, thank you for sharing ❤
Ответитьomg JELLO IS PORK SKIN! GROSS! NEVER KNEW THAT HELL NO!
ОтветитьKosher food makes perfect sense to me. You are literally eating in a very clean, and thoughtful way. Who tf wants bugs or blood in their food? Well some people eat bloody meat which to me is gross, but I do not. And Who would mix milk and meat? Like that is gross. Its hard to let go of the lobster though do not think I can do that. But I am so mad because I stopped eating pork and then had some last weekend and now I have been sick ever since so I AM NOT EATING PORK EVER AGAIN if I can help it. But I really adore how Jewish people eat, it is just very clean and thoughtful
ОтветитьSometimes the U is also used for union,
ОтветитьI love to learn! I try to avoid foods from China or from Chinese sources site too so much counterfeiting.
ОтветитьBy the way where can I buy kosher food Meats in New York City that is properly kosher

ОтветитьWe have the same problem with halal items. One restaurant was selling pig saying it was halal
ОтветитьYikes about the insects in the fruits and veggies, always just thought washing was enough! Never seen insects in my fruits and vegetables but now I wonder...

ОтветитьI didn't know that Sephardim don't mix fish and milk. I'd like to learn more about how, why and when Sephardic and Ashkenazic dietary laws diverged.
