This is my second time watching you- I just got my first serger for my birthday! Your video was so fun to watch. You seem so sweet and your voice was lovely. Made me smile. Felt like you were in my sewing room helping me learn!
ОтветитьHi. I am a new fan. I like your channel so much. It’s so helpful. I just got a Brother 1634dc serger. I haven’t try it yet. I’m a bit nervous
ОтветитьWhat serger do you recommend for someone who has no clue about sergers?
ОтветитьThis is the worst. I had two and returned both. Had professionals also try them out and agreed they are terrible. Bought a VICTORY and love, love, love it. Worth every penny.
ОтветитьI love that you use the Brother. That is the one my husband gave me as a present 🎁 also. You are so clear with all the things you review or explain to us. Thank you for your time & help ✌
Ответитьthank you so much. I had learned some tricks I didn't know.
ОтветитьCould you possibly tell me which serger your husband bought for you?
ОтветитьSince sewing thread is thicker and stronger than serger thread, when you are using the same thread on your serger, are you using sewing machine thread?
ОтветитьPlease do more for serger.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your valuable knowledge about the surger sewing machine.
I see your tutorials from Puerto Rico.
Kindly recommend for me a good serger that is affordable and economical
ОтветитьI found serger thread cones at Walmart for under $5 bucks.
ОтветитьI buy serger thread from Wawak. On sale $1.79 for the coats and clark thread.Goes on sale about every 4-6 weeks.
ОтветитьThank-you so much for all your videos! They have been incredibly helpful. I used the flat stitch on the bottom of a t-shirt, disengaged the knife and there are holes along the seam. I am so disappointed! It's an expensive t-shirt and I really wanted to simulate the same ladder effect. Do you know why the holes appear? It's like the fabric has been torn.
ОтветитьNew with my serger! Thank you 😊
Ответитьhide the ends by sewing back through with a yard needle. threading my serger intimidates me, so i try not to change threads. i'm also uncomfortable in removing my blade. i don't trust the length i need to create ruffles with my attachment. i love my machine but i don't use it as much as i want to because of these issues. thanks for the information.
ОтветитьI've read that it's not a good idea to use serger thread on a regular sewing machine. It's thinner and weaker and is made for the high speed of a serger and in multiple thread applications (usually 3 or 4 thread overlock stitches). It can result in poor stitches on a sewing machine and you'll be trying to adjust the tension when it's really the thread that's the problem.
ОтветитьGreat video. I always enjoy watching your sewing
ОтветитьI've never used a serger but am thinking of purchasing one. Is it necessary to use all spools of thread at once for the machine to work?
ОтветитьWow, I sure wish I could have seen a video like this years ago when I first started sergering. Great instructions thank you.
ОтветитьOn hiding the tails, I use a large needle, just like the crochet hook.
Ответить❤💛❤💛
ОтветитьThank you! Very helpful information
ОтветитьΠώς μπορώ να αγοράσω τον κοπτοραπτη?
ОтветитьRegarding the cost of thread: use Joann 40-50% off coupons. When you consider the cost of a small spool of thread, and a huge serger thread spool, they are not expensive. The only serger thread I’ve ever run out of is white. They last forever. Also, when you change colors, put the two fullest spools to the right side.
ОтветитьThis is the first video of yours that I have ever seen and it was so well done and informative. Just subscribed and can’t wait to learn more.
ОтветитьI would like to know more about coverstitch machines
ОтветитьI have a question that I'm hoping you can answer. I'd like to finish seams on the serger using the variegated (or rainbow) thread. How many cones of the variegated thread should I use on the four cones serger? Thanks, in advance for any help or suggestion.
ОтветитьI would like to know if I can use elastic thread in the serger sewing machine 1034dx thank you , can I do sherring. On a garment if so how can I do it thanks again bs
ОтветитьHi Alisa! Thank you for your review. How is your serger working out now thats it’s been a couple of years. I’m about to purchase one and am looking at Brother 1034DX. Just wanting first hand info from someone who owns one.
ОтветитьSpectacular video! Thank you!
Well done, kudos, brava, subscribed.
Tying/tucking in the ends was a great tip. I didn't know what to do with the unraveling when I trimmed the ends.
ОтветитьI use those big cones. I just stick the cone over a regular thread spool. Works great.
ОтветитьAnd I did have a CD with now I have a setting to making then could you send me infor mash end
ОтветитьLower your knife? How do you do that ? Thank you 😊
ОтветитьSome years ago I was given some serger thread in black, and white. Since I don’t have a server I have been using it with my sewing machine, and I love it!
ОтветитьVery helpful indeed.
ОтветитьWow...on point as always. But I am confused about something...I watched another video that said the number 3 and 4 looper threads have the main colours that show on and under the fabric depending on how you place the fabric, and therefore should match the fabric colour or be close to it
Could you be kind enough to elaborate on the thread choices and where to place them again🙏🙏.
I am using my serger for a wedding veil how to plz thks
Ответитьwhat do you mean a coffee cup?
ОтветитьThank you! I have this same serger model! Just learning to use it! VERY PLEASED!!! Great tips you shared!
ОтветитьYes I would like to know the difference between a server and a cover machine. I have never heard of those until now. Thank you.
ОтветитьI am new to this world of sergering… thank you
ОтветитьThank you for sharing
ОтветитьDon’t know if this went through or not. I would love to watch a video on the difference between cover stitch and a surger. I always thought they were both the same thing
