I'm so glad you keep coming back to the importance of support. I often get so taken by all the other stuff that I'm working on that I forget to support. You've been really helping me keep my attention on it and to build it into my automatic and unconscious functioning. thanks. I'll keep it up.
ОтветитьWhat’s the name of the first song
Ответитьme trying to holding back the urge to say the n word
Ответитьsuch a helpful video video and i LOVE the way you explain and show things, thank you so much chris !!!
ОтветитьI had been struggling for a while with separating the feeling of my tongue and my throat, really good exercise for real.
Ответитьthe Psychologic from pink elephant is Gold💥💥💥💥thanks chris
ОтветитьI'll be eager to try this. For context, I'm learning trombone, and have heard from others describe that playing trombone is a lot like singing. To the point that it is common for trombone students to be assigned vocal parts as exercises. So while the syllables of focus are different for us (more of T-Ohm sound), this same concept applies in trying to minimize throat tension.
Long story short, this is good stuff to think about as I try to break away from bad habits that create throat tension and inhibit my air flow/breath. Thank you for making this free.
But isn't everything then going to sound very nasal? That's not really how I'd like to sound. However, I do really notice that when I'm singing in the shower and not thinking about then all of the sudden my voice is very loud and open, but then when I actually TRY to sing then I get really tense. So I really do notice that I'm overthinking and focussing on the wrong bodypart (I do try to focus on my abdomen, but often it doesn't work).
ОтветитьThat really helped me!
ОтветитьCouldn't do my lessons coz i've freaked out of laughing till tears appear🤣 thanks 4 all of ur videos❤❤❤ but after laughing so much my mouth seems to be in the right position👌💯
Ответить😂🤣😍Your so funny teachings singing😁😆😁😂
Ответитьi pooped myself
ОтветитьWhen I sing high I want to cough.
Ответитьyou should ask why everything so high like the prices at the grocery store
ОтветитьMy favorite lesson from Chris, is how to use the abs in singing. It has changed every song I've ever sung, and it's highlighted how I was doing it on my best songs even before I knew about it. Before I sing now I have a little talk with my core, and say "are we ready?" Thanks Chris.
Ответитьwill your voice dry out quicker and just disappear for a while if you will sing only in a pure falsetto? mine does
ОтветитьChris you're really helpful
Ответить"The whole thing is designed to be a letdown"... Oh, nice! All of my performances have been letdowns, so I must be doing it right! :P
ОтветитьInstructions unclear, pooped my pants
Jk this video is actually awesome
this is 100% my stuttering pattern! This exercise helped a ton with it too!
ОтветитьCan we PLEASE get a full song of the "why is everything so tight" song at the beginning
ОтветитьYou should take part in a band man! Your singing skills are immaculate
ОтветитьI would love being in the studio with you and practicing, cause you definitely would match my energy. I get goofy and pumped when I'm in my singing mode, so it'd be nice to have a vocal coach who doesn't take themselves too seriously. I love it. Definitely starting the free course. Thank you for what you do!
ОтветитьI wish i had a space to practice vocal exercises without sounding absolutely insane 😂
ОтветитьChris, you're a Godsend. I've needed this exact video for so long. I'm involved in musical theatre, hoping to do it professionally- but my high range struggles a lot. This technique is going to help so much, I really appreciate it!!
Ответитьman you're saying "gone" without moving your mouth like a ventriloquist
ОтветитьHELPFUL
ОтветитьGreat intro😂
Ответитьthis was the single advice that helped me the most to achieve higher notes more naturally, I'm impressed with how well it works, pretty fast too if you commit
ОтветитьHey Chris, thank you so much for all you give in your videos. They are fantastic.😀
Ответитьsir!!!!
that demonstration was CRAZY! 😮👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
hey, i never ever comment on videos but i wanted to say your channel has helped me so much and i really really appreciate you
ОтветитьI can sing all those all high notes in my head and I have grit, I just can’t get the power and loudness
ОтветитьHow to be a ventriloquist beat boxer
ОтветитьDoes this work if I’m also tense with speaking?
ОтветитьWhats the intro song?
Ответитьi just watched the whole video before realizing my first language already has nasal before g sounds and i've been speaking the language for 20 years 🥹 guess i'll never learn how to sing
Ответить"we´re putting things through our nose anyway" - the typical performer.
Ответитьpriceless👏
ОтветитьPoison Poison Poison ph ph ph Poison
ОтветитьThe way you access these technique for the first time may look absurd but actually, this helps a lot for the muscle memory of this right technique...
Good Job Chris... 💪
Dude, you're literally priceless. These video's are worth real money. Especially since the only reason I only had 4 lessons, is because I can't afford how expensive the ones of your caliber are.
ОтветитьWhere attention goes, energy flows
ОтветитьThank you for your videos. What is the song you're singing in the beginning?! You sound amazing singing it!! 🙌
ОтветитьIt's funny. I'm trying to cover a Missio song and it's KILLING my throat. I don't know why. I can scream and belt, sing all kinds of harsh vocals no problem, but I try this chill sounding stuff and it has my throat so tight I have to lie down.
