i've forgotten all about the replacements. not even sure i remember that. i'm gonna have to look into that. i seem to recall some short strike at the beginning of some season in the early 90's.
ОтветитьTruly as a native New Yorker myself, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Joe Torre's life story. We simply do not realize all the things that someone has gone through in life. Without question, God's good hand has been upon you Joe. God bless you the rest of your days on God's green earth.
ОтветитьHad the Yankees at the bar at hotel
I worked Torre always nice guy
Had the whole team there 95
And 96 fun stuff
Good story 👍
ОтветитьThis was awesome! Loved it
ОтветитьJoe to me is baseball. What a career.
ОтветитьI remember Frank 1957!
ОтветитьJoe Buck great interview with a most personal man Joe Torre.
ОтветитьWow what a story. I never knew all of the behind the scenes, story behind the story.
ОтветитьHow unfortunate that statements like "take the politics out of it" are only uttered when its a GOP president. I've never heard that statement prefacing an appearance of Bill Clinton or Barack Obama.
ОтветитьI'm a dodger fan and I remember when he was the dodger manager. He was a very good manager and the dodgers did very well under him.
ОтветитьWow, I am a die hard Mets fan and it was hard watching the Yankees win all of the time but how can you not like Joe Torre? We are all human beings with problems and no matter who you are we're not immune to it. Man what a great interview and a great man!
ОтветитьLove Joe!
ОтветитьWonderful interview! I loved him from his playing days. Didn't realize all the hardships. ❤
ОтветитьJoe Torre is one of the most incredible people in sports. Not for his remarkable achievements but for the man he is.
ОтветитьJoe Torre, you look great like you haven't aged at all.
ОтветитьNot the first round of applause i gave this guy, but clapping at s video screen says a lot. And i’d do it again. i strongly recommend his audio book, btw.
ОтветитьJoe Torre equals 100% class. The greatest manager of my lifetime. And manager of the greatest team in my lifetime the 1998 New York Yankees who won including playoffs 125 games and lost only 50. Probably will never happen again.
ОтветитьJoe was best as a Cardinal.
Ответитьso Joe torre's hated the yankee's? I always got the feeling Joe Buck hated them also every time he does one of their games.
ОтветитьJoe Buck always does a good job in these interviews .
ОтветитьBaseball aside, Joe Torre is one of the kindest, giving human beings on this planet.
ОтветитьRed Sox fan here...thank you 😊
ОтветитьPeople who neglect motivation as part of the process to achieve success don't succeed. Joe's story proves that it provides freedom from psychological scars that our parents were kind enough to impregnate in our minds as children. Great story. Thank you, Joe. !!!
ОтветитьMan, this was good. JB is a hell of an interviewer.
ОтветитьJoe responsible for Angel Hernandez? 😄
ОтветитьHow do I just stumble upon this channel with Joe Buck? So many great interviews.
ОтветитьGreat interview!
ОтветитьThe executive producer is Peter Billingsley, is he the same kid from the Christmas Story?
ОтветитьJoe was the absolutely perfect fit to be the manager of the Yankees in the George Steinbrenner era. How can you not respect that man. What you see is what you get.
Ответитьi always liked Joe Torre. i remember him playing for St. Louis and demonstrating On-Deck Circle techniques of all things. i remember Cosell in an interview trying to make a fool of him when he managed the Braves. i was living in Tallahassee then and rooting for the Braves. Never liked the Yankees. Noticed when he was victorious during those winning WS he was stone-faced and never cracked a smile. Got a kick how animated he got when the Diamondbacks beat them
ОтветитьJT - Class act.
ОтветитьJoe Torre 🫡 thank you for all the childhood memories winning all those World Series. For a 9-12 year old it meant a lot 🙏🏽
Ответитьbuck does a great job with this show. thanks for posting these are great
ОтветитьBest managing job ever by Torre in my opinion. In 1982 win the Braves won the Division. :) Great guy, great job.
ОтветитьA truly Wonderful and Remarkable Man.
Ответитьas much as disliked the pinstripes all through the 90s, for some reason id be lying if i said i didnt like Joe Torre. even then, i couldn't put my finger on it, but i found myself having a respect and a liking for him and his managing style and the way he carried himself. can't remember too many times where he was ejected from a game 🤔
ОтветитьYes Joe it is a good show, appreciate the no language brother
ОтветитьI watch this show because Joe Buck has great guest but he inject and interprets too much. Great broadcaster, borderline interviewer. Ask the question and let your guest complete a sentence.
ОтветитьGreat manager and ambassador for baseball!
ОтветитьJoe was a very good athlete and his .363 year was a great great year
ОтветитьHe wasxa better coach than Bobby cox - my Braves!
ОтветитьThe homecm run by the Yankees in game 4 to tie the game changed the entire decade. The Braves were destined to be the Team of the 90s and it instead became the Yankees
ОтветитьJoe Torre is likely the best manager to wear a team's uniform. I have great respect for this man, and his quiet easy manner in managing. I was always a big fan while he was in NY. His method is imho unmatched.
ОтветитьI knew Joe Torre but i realize after this that i didn't know Joe Torre. Good job, good man. A human story.
ОтветитьThese episodes are all about “who you know” every one makes the MLB like it’s nothing 😂
Ответитьi love the interviewees....Joe Buck...not so much...he's extremely pretentious
ОтветитьJoe should be commissioner. Not Rob.👎
Ответить
