I love how much sense this makes. Wish you the greatest life.
ОтветитьCan you explain what changes if i have same gears but less weight?
For example if i have two 15/44 gear ratios on a motorbike, but one has less weight than the other 15/44 gear ratio
What happen in torque, power and speed?
I have 13/44 on my motorbike, i want to change 15/44 and i know that cost me torque for more speed, but what if i lightweight my 15 pinion?
This has made it so much clearer thank you❤
ОтветитьExcellent way to explain the subject to practically all audience. No matter the age. Great job. Best regards.
ОтветитьCan i change ratios in my car
ОтветитьEverytime I watch offroad video, i always wondered why does 4L is slower but stronger to push a car out of the obstacles, every answer is circling around "the stronger the ratio means that speed isn't matter" and I'm so dumb to understand that
Thank you for the best explanation I ever had🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m in 6th grade and we don’t even know this and this is easy
ОтветитьSo with this in mind if I use a larger sprocket on my driver gear, and keep the sprocket that’s driven at 40. Will my top end speed go higher with a reduction in torque?
ОтветитьDude that was amazing, even my dumb ass understood every part of it
ОтветитьI'm calling you 'The Professor '.😄
Ответитьi am confuse here , as you told in the video that gear ratio is the ratio of no of teeth of driven gear to the no of teeth of drive gear but in case of cycling we calculate ratio by dividing the no of teeth of chainring by the no of teeth of one sprocket where the chain ring is drive gear and sprocket is driven gear why like that hope you will clarify my doubt
Ответитьvery explanative and straightforward
ОтветитьThe trick with gears is to understand that at the point of contact the force on each gear is equal and opposite. And the teeth are moving at the same velocity, because they are meshed. Once you grok that the rest is just geometry.
ОтветитьUh, I own a Honda Fit, and I totally use it for my cargo business.
Ответитьi no longer understand this
Ответитьwow your explanations are clear
ОтветитьI came here wanting to know why lower gears exert more power and i got the answer. But why is it when you switch it around the speed goes so high. I get the concept but that makes no sense the motor isn't spinning any faster right?
ОтветитьThank you for putting so much effort. Best explanation ever.
ОтветитьDude I was scratching my head regarding the selection of motors for my project. Now with the introduction of gear ratio, I have much more clarity. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you 👍🏼
ОтветитьMotor attached to a gear ratio on a generator hooked up to the motor
ОтветитьThe best explanation, thank you!
ОтветитьVery nice explanation!!
Ответитьwe need part 2 of gear ratios! 😉
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьvery good video, i completely understood the explanation!
ОтветитьBrilliant explanation!! I have been riding motorbikes since more than 21 years and always wanted to understand to concept of Gear Ratio... Watching your video once cleared my concept....Thanks much...
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьPhenomenal ❤
ОтветитьIm actually interested in this topic
ОтветитьThis was an absolutely awesome video to learn gear ratios. Thank you.
ОтветитьI love this! Thanks, great video! ❤
ОтветитьIsn't that putting too much stress on the small gears, thus having the gears wear out sooner rather than later?
ОтветитьHm the 2019 Coolla Hatchback has a beautiful transmission ratio...
I mean, what kinda car's got a ratio of just 0.39 in 6th gear?
Even 0.6 is pretty much the standard for a diesel....
I always thought this concept would be self evident to anyone who ever had a bicycle. However, I actually knew a person who owned tractors and implements that needed gear ratios explained to him. He thought he could increase the driven gear speed by enlarging the driver. Maybe it was difficult because it was chain driven.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьVery nice explanation 👍
ОтветитьThis was a very good demonstration, thanks.
ОтветитьOh my this is wonderful
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьDeserves a like! Thank you
ОтветитьAfter watching this video, I literally have no more doubts. Thanks allot
ОтветитьGreat explanation brother!
Ответитьa new sub, brilliant way to teach with the visual component. very good video
ОтветитьFinally I get it. Thank you 😊💓
ОтветитьThis was an amazingly understandable but informative video- great fucking job man
