Thanks Dave for that review. Been looking for something like that for a while. Like you said they have about evaporated. All the rest of them were made in Turkey like those nomads and it's interesting because it folds up completely you can stick it in a pack, but who knows if any of them are worth a hoot.
ОтветитьAfter watching another guntuber this is so much more chill 😂
ОтветитьCaN you put laser pointer and a scope on it? Can you buy fabric/canvas ammo slots that fit over the stock for ammo on the go?
ОтветитьIt’s an EXACT copy of the H&R Handi that was made for decades.
ОтветитьStoeger coach, side by side 12!
ОтветитьIm wondering where on planet earth ir located that u cant find h n r shotguns or nef as well? Im in northwest pa n u can find them anywhere. Prices are climbing but still in almost every gun shop ive been in...
ОтветитьThe old H&R are such a classic.Reliable, effective.
ОтветитьI'm not sure if it's been asked, but what do you think about putting on a set of rifle sights (just a simple leaf) on it for slugs and such?
ОтветитьI am not a fan of external safteys on a shotgun or rifle that has an external hammer and with the transfer bar it is stupid to have!
ОтветитьWhat’s the point
ОтветитьDoes the gun eject the shells, or do you manually extract the shell?
ОтветитьA few years back, I was able to find and purchase a New England 12 gauge for under a hundred dollars, but it wasn’t pretty someone did a camouflage paint job on it , not the best, but I didn’t get it for looks it works well. The only thing I didn’t like about it it’s a full choke, but for the price I couldn’t turn it down And it’s 3.5 chamber can shot minis to 3.5 inch shells.
ОтветитьStupid ass safety. Do they not have a transfer bar?
ОтветитьI have the 20 gauge youth version. Great little shotgun.
ОтветитьI bought a Marlin single shot for $125 new in the box at a gun show. Almost identical to an old H&R.
ОтветитьThanks for this video David.
Ответитьa Safety on a hammered gun that makes About as much sense as a box of Rocks
ОтветитьHello 👋 David, thank you for sharing this informative video. All the best to you. Stay safe out there. 😊
ОтветитьI got my dad's old Savage 12 gauge he bought back in the 40's sometime. When he passed, my brother got it and it lived in a closet for years, until I asked for it. It is in really good shape, bluing is bout 90%, locks up tight, the beavertail is a little stiff, but with some oil, it'll loosen up. My dad always said a shotgun was a double gun and that's where you come in. I know where to get the needed items to shoot this as a black powder shotgun, but I don't know about the powder measure..
My friends laugh at me when I tell em what I'm gonna do, but I've been laughed at before.
What's the measure for powder and shot ?
By chance… is the butt of the gun hollow so I could store a stack n pack adapter kit in there?? That would make for a very versatile set up.
ОтветитьNew England firearms 12 gauge 28inch barrel full choke. My first shotgun. Gave my mom the 74.99 to pick it up for me back when Kmart still sold guns
ОтветитьNice modern single shot shotgun in the tradition of the old American favorites. I'll stick with my Iver Johnson Champion which is just a few years older than I am.The fore end is similarly easy to remove. It just snaps into place on a stud on the barrel, doesn't even need a little button, although I do like that new system.
ОтветитьBARREL is CHROME MOLLY ALLOY. 1 of my reasons for buying it .. last week 💪 but i paid 208. which is fine
ОтветитьMaybe i missed it- ejector or extractor?
ОтветитьCan you get alternate barrels for this?
ОтветитьI see so many videos on folks thinking the only thing you should own is a tricked out ar atyle and a super high cap semi auto pistol with red dots and lights and lasers (oh my). I've gotten rid of all that stuff and gone I guess primitive. I carry a snubbie for protection and have either double barrel or single barrel shotguns with the obligatory bolt and level gun should i need high capacity. Any one else gone back old school besides me?
ОтветитьThey use the Win-choke tube, browning mosssberg and a few others will work.
ОтветитьNice to see you again Dave 👍
ОтветитьIs the barrel rated for modern steel and tungsten shells? Thanks, for the video!
ОтветитьYeah the Stevens are actually made with the same tooling due to savage buying up the lot from h&r recently then they did modifications. I'm hoping they will make the single shot rifles again.
ОтветитьI wish they’d make a premium line for $300 us made
ОтветитьRead a story in Field and Stream magazine that was from the 70's or early 80's. It was still in our deer cabin. Shit house reading material before cell phones lol. Was about a hunter in Alaska got stranded. Extreme cold and could find dry kindling to get a fire going. Only thing he figured out was shave some wood from the stock of his rifle. Got his fire going and probably saved his life
ОтветитьYou can also use a quarter and a multi tool to remove the choke. 👍
ОтветитьThanks Dave. Great gun and review. On my list for sure.
ОтветитьThanks! A handi rifle type version would be great - handgun calibers like .357 Mag, 44 Mag, 30-30 Win, one of the straight wall deer cartridges for the limited hunting states would probably sell great too.
ОтветитьHunting mostly upland birds for decades, I prefer 20 gauge. I didn't hear you mention ejection, so just checked Bud's ($187), commenters noting how well the ejector works. Screw-in choke, no tools take down and a good ejector? Yeah, I'll be getting one. Thanks!
ОтветитьFor older, smaller stature guys those single 12 ga shotguns kick like a mule and the lighter they are the worse they kick to the point of hurting the shoulder. Now get these guns in a single 20 ga, they are a pleasure to shoot. The 12ga single I had I gave to my son. Thanks for the Vid
ОтветитьHave you ever heard of a long tom brand 12 gauge 36" barrel, single shot? Probably 70 years old .
ОтветитьAre the old Harrison and Richardson 12 gauges prone to opening on their own from recoil? Can that happen?
ОтветитьThank you for reviewing this gun. I like this to remain a cheap and available option for decades to come.
ОтветитьOld shot guns would only shoot 23/4 in the 40s & 50s my Dad had Double and single barrell 30 in.full choke and .mod. Will that one shoot 3&31/2 in mag
ОтветитьI'm always asked what's shotgun should I get I tell frist if you never had one I say a single or double barrel a 12GA. Pick one that will handle any ammo like the litest bird shot shells to the nock you no you backside Magnum slugs also get chamber adapters to make it more virsatile
ОтветитьI bought one for $180. I then had my gunsmith reduce the barrel length to 19 inches and rebore the muzzel for Remington Remchokes and reinstall the beed sight. I then ordered a Wayne's Dog now known as "Original Power" black shell holding cheek rest and shell holding sling combo. The cheek rest holds five shells and the sling holds six, With one in the pipe for a total of 12. A great truck-gun. Respond to me and I'll send you a pick. FYI, my gunsmith can do the same for you. He just needs the barrel and a screw-in Remchoke. That's the oldstyle (original) Remington choke. Note, this gun comes with only one modified Winchoke.
ОтветитьI sold two 20 ga and one 12 ga H&R with bluing and walnut. I’ll never forgive myself 😢
Idk why I didn’t just keep them
Do you know of any break action shotguns with threaded barrels? Would love to have a suppressed 12ga that can work with the Chiappa X Calibers adapters.
ОтветитьLooks jus like a rossi
ОтветитьFrom the Ozark’s. Thanks for the info brother 😊
ОтветитьHenry is making a good single shot 12 guage right now.
ОтветитьHow far does it fold Dave 🤔 can you pack it folded up or must it be disassemble. Thank you friend .
ОтветитьCan I shoot federal premium flight control #00 buck shot with the choke that comes with it?
Ответить
