When I started listening I was angry, because even though I know this is true, I felt mad that I felt victim blamed. I felt even more mad that all this time, I could have been living the life I wanted, and I let my self, project onto other people, that they were dimming my potential, when I was really doing it to myself by reacting. I took a shower and cried, and grieved what felt like worlds of lost potential and spoiled happiness, and forgave myself for letting it happen, and then I made a commitment that was stronger than "I'm gonna be successful" "I'm gonna be productive" etc, I told myself, NEVER AGAIN. Never again will I allow myself to react to others in a way that steals my joy. When I feel a reaction occurring I will go into the present, understand why I reacted this way, and how this moment fits into my vision, and orient myself accordingly, mastering the art of LETTING GO. I became aware of the importance and power of discrimination. If you take everything for face value, it is so easy to get programmed by silly limiting beliefs others have. No longer will I be afraid to just tell myself, "That nasty comment so in so said, had nothing to do with me. That's how they feel. That's likely a petty reaction to something someone else did to them, and I wish all of them healing. I certainly have no place taking it on."
