Do I need a special usb LEAD (LOSTD ORIGINAL WHICH CAME WITH sat nav). If I plus an ordinary USB lead in it does not connect with the laptop.

Hi, I wonder if I could pick you folk's brain. I have a Drive 60LM. this unit has been misbehaving, not recognising hardly any destinations in UK and Europe. I have tried to update the UK & EU maps to try to fix it. I have downloaded Garmin Express, and 'uninstalled, a number of times but without any success. At each attempt to download maps it froze at between 14.5% and 25%. I have left it for 24hrs + but it will never go past this point. I was wondering what I could be doing wrong? if there could be something wrong with my set up. Internet access, between 15 and 21 MBPS, is good enough to watch films on the TV. My PC runs on Window 10. I also have bought a new cable, just in case. Would any of you have come across such problem, and how have you overcome it? thanks

So I did all that but it also I have another box below and it says “ map update available “ and it the corner says “ see pricing “. Do I need to buy it??

Does this update the roads like if they are closed for construction and reroute for you???
