I’m a very frugal, live minimalist style , the only debt I have is our mortgage . But when it comes to family members birthdays or Christmas, i will get them nice/ could be expensive stuff, not designer bags or clothes, but nice things that they actually enjoy.

If you're staying away from interest for religious reasons, you can invest in EQUITY. Think: EFT (an investment fund that holds multiple stocks), mutual funds. You get paid in dividends, and not in interest. For Muslims, look for companies that meet AAOFI Standards. (I'm a true beginner, so please confirm this info for yourself. I don't want to mislead, but to give you a jumping off point.)

Remember: The goal is to not need to ask others for money, and to share the money. The goal is not to hoard.

The stock market is going to crash or at least downtrend. People are not watching trends as soon as trump was elected the 10 richest people in the world got richer not everyone, just them. They're busting unions and trump said he can't bring down groceries. Once he starts deportation groceries will go up, when he implements tariffs prices will go up. If you want to invest I'd say invest in canned and shelf stable food. Invest in a garden or other ways for you to be self reliant.

The average person should invest in 0 stocks. Mutual/index funds will work just fine. Invest for 30+ years (preferably) and you’ll be just fine. Don’t time the market

When I was kid our mom told us we couldn’t afford a lot and we would get things we needed for Christmas and our birthdays and one thing as a want but it couldn’t be expensive, but it was never a big deal to us because it was explained that we couldn’t afford a lot and things that we needed and food or paying the bills came before a want. I personally believe not talking to your kids about this and letting them know buying a lot of gifts isn’t going to happen because we have other bills or needs that need to be met and we did this with my nephew from the time he was 3 and he may not have understood it but he was never upset he didn’t get a bunch of toys while other kids did, we had fun as a family and didn’t consist of spending a ton of money.

I’m 26 and getting it together! So happy to do it now rather than 4 years. What I’ve learned is just start! I do have stock already, but getting more. This whole year is: getting money in my HIGH YIELD SAVINGS ACCOUNT (not a traditional savings with bank. HYSAs make you money by just having your money there), Roth IRA, and stock market. Doing a low buy year and not over consuming. I’ve been doing good this year but I’m really going to lock in next month. I have a budget and everything! And I’m still a medium maintenance girly. Just making better financial decisions! Super EXCITED

I agree with most of your points but one problematic thing you do in these videos is downplay what investing in stocks really entails. You keep saying “put your money into stocks” 100x times and yes there is merit to that but you talk in a way that conflates the ease of stock investing with literally shopping on Amazon. It’s NOT. It’s far more complicated and there’s a lot more things to consider and risks involved that you DO NOT mention in these videos. It’s misleading.

I'm so torn, my parents had a ton of money invested for me when I was a kid and when 9/11 happened they lost like 95% of it so they drilled into us that investing is really risky. I struggle with fear around the market because of it. 😭
