A pity that every last traditional men's and boys' choir, a 1,000 year tradition, with its own unique sound and spirit, are one-by-one being replaced by the UK's woke cultural vandals. George Guest rolls in his grave. It may not matter for Xmas carols, but it matters for Byrd, Tallis, Tye, or the unsung geniuses who composed the Eton Choirbook. The very instrument that conjured and nurtured this music meretriciously destroyed by Cultural Revolutionaries right out of Mao's killing fields. Something for St John's last straggling choirboys to consider.

Man kann zu diesem neuartigen Chor stehen, wie man möchte, doch dieser trägt leider nur noch den Namen "St John's College Choir, Cambridge", hat aber nichts mehr mit dem Chor zu tun, der für die englische Chortradition stand. Ein totaler Bruch mit der Geschichte hat sich hier ereignet. Der "St John's College Choir, Cambridge" hat 2022 in Wahrheit aufgehört zu existieren. Sehr schade, denn es gibt ja gerade von dieser Art nur sehr wenige: Ganze vier englische College-Knabenchöre.
