I always learn from your tuitions u are a good teacher I wish u be my mentor in welding and fabrication ❤❤❤🌟🌟
ОтветитьJust purchased a titanium 200 t
Ac dc tig welder come here to learm !!
Thank you for your excellent videos on how to TIG weld aluminum. I have never welded anything before, but would like to give it a try. Aside from the obvious need for time and practice, what actual equipment do I need to purchase to get started? Is there a list somewhere or can you provide a list of essential equipment needed? Much appreciated!
ОтветитьA camera on the foot pedal as well while your welding to see what ur doing would be handy for us newbies
ОтветитьI’m new to TIG and I’ve just started practicing on Aluminium, I’m getting some half decent welds on flat material but when it comes to inside corner joints I’m having a nightmare even starting a puddle in the corner it’s either sticking to the base or the vertical piece and I’m struggling to figure out what I’m doing wrong..
Ответить3:3awesome
ОтветитьMy first real insight in to tig ;)) lots more watching to do now.... amazing content which is easy to understand. Thank you
ОтветитьWhat tungsten colour mr.?
Ответить"don't add rod until you get that shiny wet puddle" thats some good all round advice.
ОтветитьThank you for being a great instructor. I’ve been learning a lot from you just through a few videos
ОтветитьBeautiful welds. I cant wait to have my first go.
Ответить"That's a good use for a Harbor Freight square". :)
ОтветитьI like to use the DOEP method. I dip on every pass 🤬🤬🤬
ОтветитьFor some reason I can run a good bead but when I try to do a lap weld the filler just turns black and shrivels up
ОтветитьWatching this long after you made it. Excellent info. My aluminum tig welding (just started) sucks so hard! I seem to be able to get a puddle and move it along just fine (a log time mig welder of steel) but as soon as I started trying to dab, I can't go fast enough or I touch the arc with the wire and have to stop and clean the tungsten, or I just plain bury the tungsten because after the weld pool gets shiny, it's hard to tell how much standoff I have! I even put a 2.5 magnification in my welding mask. -- On to the next in the series! then down to the practice arena!
ОтветитьThanks a bunch hun bum❣️💯🔥
ОтветитьYou are a good teacher ❤️
ОтветитьDo you have a video of proper metal prep?? I think alot of welders don't have good success because of poor metal preparation.
ОтветитьGot that old Lincoln, would like to try an inverter
ОтветитьLove it you get right into it!! 🤘
ОтветитьGood👍👍
ОтветитьAny videos on how to form our weld puddles, starting a weld puddle is a procedure that I tend to struggle with.
ОтветитьConventional direction of current is from positive to negative. It determined by math equations -- it's more convinient to not deal with huge amount of minuses. Electrons flows from negative to positive but real current in gases presented not only with electrons but with ions too and those ions can be both polarity and can flow in both directions.
ОтветитьThank You
ОтветитьI need one job there please reply sir
Ответить👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍
ОтветитьSo if you need ac for the tig to clean and heat, why does mig dc work on aluminum
ОтветитьIf you are welding an engine cast aluminum head what setting set up you recommend
ОтветитьYou are a machineman!!!! Jaja..goood.
ОтветитьThis is definitely one of the better learning channels I have seen so I will try to be more supportive to keep learning and breaking some of my old bad habits lol , I’ve always prided myself on being an ugly welder but my welds are good , I’m gonna change that this year and try to make my welds prettier lol 😆
ОтветитьI learned more in 5 minutes of tig here than I did in welding school 40 years ago lol , my instructor was an old ship welder from Bethlehem steel shipyard and that should probably tell you that I was a much better arc welder when I graduated 😄

ОтветитьMy welding pool seems to get contaminated, when i add rod. Any tips?
ОтветитьCan you walk cup on aluminum?
ОтветитьThanks for the tips! I'm just getting started with a TIG, and aluminum.
ОтветитьWhat is the best low cost TIG welder for aluminum airplane building?
ОтветитьHow do you maintain a weld puddle ? I seem to always have really flat puddles and can’t even start a good weld bead.
ОтветитьWhat is the polarity on welding Tig Aluminum?
ОтветитьI have recently started playing around with TIG welding aluminum. I often end up blowing through the plate or getting serious deformation on the back of the plate or joint. Any idea where I might be going wrong? I am working with a millermatic 255. I have balled the end of the electrode I working at 75 amps. Metal is clean as a whistle, and I'm using and 1/8" tungsten with a 6 ceramic cup. I feel like I am moving quick enough but I still get the bubbling in the back.
ОтветитьАлюминий легкче сварить чем нержавейку или чёрный металл или латунь
ОтветитьDo you preheat aluminum before you weld
ОтветитьJody: “That’s a good use for a harbor freight square.”
Me: “Amen! Lololololol 🤣🤣🤣”
These videos are fantastic. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and seeing you do it so clearly is tremendously helpful. Thanks.
ОтветитьVery nice lecture and footage! Congratulations!
Ответитьwhich gas do u use for aluminum welding
Ответитьhi sir
ОтветитьThe thickness of aluminum being used here? .080? .125? .050?
ОтветитьNice video. I'm using a Miller Diversion without much control - Just "AC" and current setting- this seems to work well when i get things right. The most difficult thing I encounter TIG welding aluminum is just seeing the weld puddle and keeping the electrode out of it. My eyes aren't great and any tips there would be appreciated.
ОтветитьI watch alot of welding videos and I just want to say jody you are by far the THE BEST so full of knowledge. I learn something new or revisit something I have forgotten. I appreciate you and your videos thank you
