As an aspirant for the NORCET (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test), I am confronted with a glaring injustice – the 80:20 reservation rule imposed by AIIMS for nursing officer recruitment.

Picture this: After dedicated efforts, I secured an All India Rank of 2700, only to realize that out of 2000 vacancies, a mere 100 seats are allocated to UR (General) male candidates. This disproportionate allocation, with 80% of seats favoring female candidates, is a direct blow to the principles of fairness and equality enshrined in our Constitution.

In recent NORCET exams, where about 7000 vacancies were available, male candidates were left with a fraction of seats. Even with a commendable All India Rank of 1500 in NORCET 4, I found myself without a seat. The 80:20 rule not only undermines merit but also perpetuates discrimination.

Supreme Court rulings, such as Indra Sawhney v. Union of India (1992), advocate for reasonable reservation policies, emphasizing that no group should be favored to the extent of unfairness. The current 80:20 split clearly crosses this line.

I have petitioned the Prime Minister and President of India, but addressing this issue comprehensively demands wider visibility and advocacy. This is where your influential platform comes into play.

Sarthak Goswami, your voice has the power to spark change and bring attention to this injustice. I urge you to consider creating a video to shed light on this matter. By advocating for fairness and equal opportunity in the recruitment process for nursing officers, we can ensure that merit triumphs over arbitrary quotas.

Yes I agree all the parties are corrupt. But, still, you cannot equate the two. That is not just because the level of corruption and incompetence in BJP is much larger.
