To answer your question about whether we’ll ever see a billionaire with a good moral compass; probably not because they wouldn’t be a billionaire anymore. Dolly Parton would be a billionaire right now if she didn’t donate to so many charities and causes.
Being a billionaire in the first place means you’re hoarding so much wealth you don’t bother to think about who or what might need it outside of yourself.

My mother is currently involved in a cult. It’s a super weird place to be because I can reach out and try and talk her out of it til I’m blue in the face but it doesn’t matter if she doesn’t WANT to think differently. The leaders are master manipulators who pray on vulnerable people. She got into it when my dad entered hospice and especially so after he died. It’s her whole world now, her whole core belief system. She views the world through different eyes than before, like she’s possessed. Basically all I can do is let her know I’ll be here if she ever wants to leave it all behind, but in the meantime I can’t have a relationship with her. I know she’s not in her right state of mind, I know she’s sick (they convinced her to stop her meds and it’s been a years long battle ever since) and that she doesn’t mean to hurt anyone in her attempt to soothe herself, but she’s done some truly cruel things in the name of these beliefs and the comfort they bring her. You can’t help someone who doesn’t think they need help. So I just wait in the background, hoping she’ll reach back someday.
