Corsair K95 Platinum Review - Worth the extra over the K70 RGB?

Every now and then there will be a great keyboard that stands out and works just great in every way back in 2000 it was the logitech g15 the old big one and now its the corsair k 95 platinum this thing is crazy!

I found a deal of the k95 platinum, for 149 euro., the same price as the k70, im taking the deal

Just bought this keyboard at bestbuy for 160$ CAD (around 125$ USD). They had the k70 mk2 low profile for 140 CAD (110 USD) but Im not sure id like the "low profil" keys. Anyway, its going to be a huge upgrade compared to my Razer oranata chroma that is likr 3 years old. I really hate razer build quality...slowly swapping all my accessories to corsair,l. Headset is next (probably the virtuoso SE)

I find it very interesting, I don't know why but the price range for this particular keyboard (K95 Platinum) varies so dramatically depending on which seller you choose. I often find K95's on sale for $150-180 bucks with MX Brown/Blue switches but then again there are sellers that offer the keyboard for $300+. I can't figure out why this price discrepancy exists.

What a piece of garbage...it kill my fingers for almost 2 years. If you type and game like me please get the K70 low profile, it is way easier on your fingers.

This just feels like a k70 mk2 with macros buttons, better wrist rest and only available in 2 switches unlike the 5. I'd say it's worth $150, not $200

My only question is, I have a game mouse with keys on the sides so doesn’t that mean that those “macro keys” on the side of the keyboard are irrelevant right?

I found it on sale for $249aud ($169usd) although I do need a new keyboard and it's on sale for a cheaper price than the Corsair K70 MK2 Special edition which I originally wanted so I'll be biting the bullet

Only thing I wish they had was 18 g keys not 6 ewww but it's still nice

well its only $140 on amazon and all near by best buys if you price match it, def a steal for $140 when the MSRP is 200 and 215-220 with tax

The lightbar is fucked on the top. You cant notice it too much in vids

why does corsair use such a horrendous font? i get they aim it towards the gamers, but even we like the cleaner stuff. that just adds to the reasons why i went for razer.

At this moment the K70 and the K95 are priced at 170€, where I live. I have the older K95 RGB from before, the one with 18 macros. But I never used them much. It's a hard choice for getting a new one, as the price is the same. The K95 takes a bit more space with the macros, but less than the older K95; it has an annoying light bar at the the top (you can switch it off though), and I like the switchable sides with the wrist rest. You would think that more for the same price would be the best choice. But I'm not sure, will the macros be in my way like before? I should probably flip a coin...

Here's what I think. If you're in the market for a gaming keyboard and you've got the money for it, sure you can get this. Honestly, if you're like me and you've already got the K70 Rapidfire, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade.

Thanks for the review, I just bought this! The store I got it from had the k70 at $25 less so I decided to bang out and get this one. Previously had an old crap Corsair that's been severely busted up and damaged over the years, from spillage. Got to make sure to always keep my drinks far away when I get the k95 ;)

I went with the rapid fire it was only a little cheaper than the 95 but I had no use for the extra bells and whistles, and it must be updated because your complaints about the wrist pad and volume wheel doesn't apply to my rapid fire.
