One piece manga writer Echiora Oda wrote the way of a swordsman really well .Zorro and enma were related so deeply even before his time.
Legendary swordsmith Quote.
"This sword was crafted to be very serious, a sword that serious had to be capable of cutting and killing as many people as possible as a true extent of it's might with that it will be alive."
Incredible culture.
Ответитьwell it's good to know that katanas are pretty damn good but european swords made by the celts vikings anglo saxons and spanish had better steel to make their blades
Ответитьtoo bad most katanas are mass procuced in chinese sweat shops
ОтветитьOver-hyped nonsense. Europeans had Steel Shields for a reason. 🛡️
ОтветитьGlad Samurai Cop the movie led me here.
ОтветитьVery obvious why Japan lost the war, too much detail on the the most insignificant things.
ОтветитьCome on I understand why the master is not standing in front of his daughters arrow but they (producers) need to chill the exaggerating. My man is swinging his katana like a baseball bat trying to reach the maybe third speed arrow. This is another Friday night at the batting cages. Again, I respect the master of that school it's the documentary needing filler material. I don't think there's been a martial artist capable of stopping an arrow fired that was fired with the intention to kill them. If you ever see anything remotely close every condition has been tweaked just enough for success but hopefully fly below the radar. It's just dumb at this point.
ОтветитьIt's like comparing a mass produced Chinese ak-47 clone to let's say a scar-h. Clearly one took more time to make, train the user, and money to produce but not everyone if your army needs the top of the line weapons or equipment. I would argue in the United States Army one thousand soldier or less either have to training required to make use of better weapons technology or have a mission that requires precision of that magnetude. This is a senseless comparison and I think everyone loves the katana but you don't need to beat down a cheap weapon lol. However, I believe the spear was the weapon most often issued to Japanese infantry of the time. So the broad sword measured against the spear but it really doesn't matter. One thing they kind of glossed over which surprised me was the body count swords had and it's significance. It wasn't one guy kneeling comfortably (relatively speaking) waiting for someone to chop him in half. If a sword of high quality was to be tested they piled criminals up. Some receiving fatal wounds to die hours later or fatal infections to die days later. These are all not completely known for a fact but it matches with folklore, stories, and/or other sources of recorded history.
ОтветитьYoooo honzo sword motherfugga
Ответить"European broadsword performed just as well"
Samurai standing calmly, European guy nearly spins around from the force of his swing
"The broadsword relies on brute force, while the katana relies on speed and fighting finesse..."
Ill never understand the western propensity to cvckold ourselves out of appreciating our own culture 🤦♂️
Think some caveman came up with that fully articulate suit of exquisite plate armor?
Historical european weapons and martial arts are intricate, complex and deserving of immense respect...
🙏
ОтветитьYeah, I’m sorry but this is bullshit lol. Specially the part with the steel. Tamahagane is actually really impure steel, and all the folds are merely to compensate for it. With good quality steel, folding is unnecessary.
Ответить26 tons
ОтветитьThe narrator can't even say samurai correctly
Ответить"after 10 days of sharpening"
say what
Katanas are amazing, but the way the documentary exaggerates their merits, it's as if every other sword was worse. That's just not true.
ОтветитьA nice documentary but there are some errors, and the usual hype regarding japanese swords.
ОтветитьGostei bastante desse documentário pena não ter legenda mais mesmo assim 👏🏻🗡
ОтветитьI have one original sword in my collection, and it is an absolutely humbling experience every time i hold it. It was a ww2 prize, i even found the original owners, and was in contact with them for ahwile. They said their father gave it to my great grandfather by his own will when he surrendered. They told me to keep it, that it was an honor given to him because he treated the captive japanese soldiers with the utmost respect. I am honored to have it passed down to join my collection
ОтветитьThen give it to Inosuke.
ОтветитьOnly thing I have to say against the video… “It took 26 tons of iron ore and charcoal.”…… I don’t think so. That’s as heavy as a medium size fishing boat or an adult blue whale.
ОтветитьEveryone’s gangsta til the Samurai comes to play.
Ответить800 years of undisturbed family history.
ОтветитьI feel this sort of thing will happen even after AI starts writing all our books and doing all our paintings for us. People will still want something created painstakingly with human hands, in this fashion.
Ответить😂😂 european swords called inferior... 😂😂😂😂 what i know about katanas is that they folded the steel because it was poor wuality steel.. and the dolding was necessary to make it better.. european sword were atleast as good as japanese ones i assume... (no expert here)
ОтветитьThats why tanjiro fucked up
Ответитьall this shit to cut a stick
Ответитьwhen he puts the straight blade in water and it comes out curved 🔥
Ответить50.000 for 4 days work sign me up lol
ОтветитьMy dumb ass watching a 47 minute documentary on katanas on during my GCSEs:
Ответитьimagine this master on forage and fire... ahhaha
Ответитьthat called craftsmanship, but many of the process can be done by machine and make more faster production.
ОтветитьKatana is truely overrated due to Hollywood effect :(
Ответитьsaying that it does "just as good" is an insult. yes they both cut, but the katana's cut is sharper and quicker making little movement to the target meaning less resistance to the cut with the broad sword was just smacking the target around with the amount of resistance it faced
Ответитьi love the katana sword
ОтветитьAwsome😎💪
ОтветитьSword smith village
Ответить🤘😫🤘 ,"CROM!!!!"
ОтветитьPeople can salivate about craftsmanship and ancient wisdom till they're blue in the face but these weapons were used to butcher human beings. I don't like them. I knew a young man who was murdered by a barbarian using one of these swords.
ОтветитьAmazing documentary!
ОтветитьI just searched for a sword made by this family, found one that was sold at auction that was made in 1657 and signed/dated by his ancestor. Remarkable to think about.
Does anyone know where to buy a sword made by this family? I’m struggling because I can’t read Japanese lol
Aliens taught the Japanese how to make steel
ОтветитьKatana is a saber, not a sword!!!
Ответить
