I was an Athlete Driver at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. A very young Pavel Datsyuk was there. Phenomenal skill! I drove Pavel Bure and Danny Markov to their bronze medal game when their Charter Bus did not show up.

This makes you giggle at how special he was. He was such a treat to watch. There’s no way any fan of hockey could not like him. I miss seeing him play.

Pavel was a thing to watch on TV. Just pure magic and joy watching him. He was something. One of the greats.

I grew up in Detroit. Pavel reminded me a lot of Barry's Sanders. You don't watch him you watch the people trying to stop him and you laugh your ass off.

He was a true magician on ice. One of the best in NHL and very entertaining player. I like the humility he showed on the ice even when he scored those beautiful goals. He is greatly missed. His other Russian Ovi entertains us now.
