I wish mine sounded that smooth
Ответитьif only it was 4x4..
ОтветитьIt’s likely a blown head gasket allowing water to enter combustion chambers which then makes steam out the tailpipe. Don’t ask me how I know 😢.
ОтветитьBest truck toyota made. They need bring it back. Good gas mileage and reliable. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI love the look of your truck man, the retro color scheme with the matching rocker cover is just awesome, not too jacked up but sits just right I really love it. Well done.
ОтветитьDid you start the truck at 0 degree mark on crank pulley? I ask because Ive read to start at 5 degrees before TDC?
ОтветитьIs that a 2wd pickup?
ОтветитьThere are two wires on the throttle cable, what is the other one?
ОтветитьWrong Coolant, be prepared to change intake manifold gasket in 10k miles, you should be using TOYOTA RED COOLANT, Period!
Ответитьnext phase... LIFT THAT BABY 😂 freaking awesome build man. The paint is sweet! I have an 86 4x4 that I rebuilt with my dad. Working on buying a 93 in near perfect condition with very low mileage. One of the greatest vehicles ever built.
ОтветитьI did the exact same thing with mine when I did the head gasket, I just left the hood off and drove around for a while
ОтветитьCompletely normal for the exhaust to be smoking quite a bit on the very first startup but if it doesn’t disappear after a while, you’ve got other problems
ОтветитьJust bought a1990 Toyota pickup
Has 170,000 on truck. Need engine 10 years ago from someone that rebuilds or refurbished them. Haven’t brought it to my mechanic, Auto Experts in Blacksburg Va. it’s taps sorta loud. We’re can I get info and find out about where engine was rebuilt ? Will restore a little. New bushings, shocks and wax job. Any info appreciated
Thank you. Joe
I love these built 22R's! And amazing restoration after months
ОтветитьBeautiful job!
ОтветитьNeed ballpoint spacers up front for those maxed out torsion bars to really be beneficial
ОтветитьCool channel man! Love the build. What brand of camper shell is that with the side windows that open?
ОтветитьI had a 1985 Celica with the same 22RE with over 250,000 miles on it and no problems, you guys look like GM mechanics with no clue; dumb asses.
ОтветитьThree mechanic and 6 months ??? I could do with 1 month the slowest and 1.5 k on ebay
ОтветитьWhy six months..?
ОтветитьOMG....ITS TOYOTA
ОтветитьWow, engine looks new... everything in the bay looks all new too...
Ответитьshe looks real smooth
ОтветитьI want to see more of your 22RE video’s please
ОтветитьMotor looks amazing!
Ответитьsweet lil rally truck! dig the arb!
ОтветитьHow is the engine doing. Looks clean.
ОтветитьI love the music, it was a perfect fit for the video!
ОтветитьI have done over 100 full 22R and 22re installs over the years. It is VERY common for white smoke on startup AND after it has warmed up. I remember early on after a full rebuild I would crank over the motor to get good oil pressure then going to the tail pipe and watching for what seemed like an eternity white smoke pouring out. I was sure the head gasket had failed or there was a crack in the head or something awful. An engine builder told me it is a combination of condensation build up throughout the motor and head, from new parts, assembly lube, and general breaking in.
Beautiful engine!!
Have you ran into ant issues using that green coolant? I use Toyota Pink in my 85' XtraCab.
ОтветитьLove your build. 👍
ОтветитьHey there Bill how is the engine running? Wouldn't mind a sound clip of that exhaust or a update video.
ОтветитьI would love to know what parts where used LC or 22re performance cam spec and was it bored or stroked? Give us an updated video I'd love to hear.
ОтветитьThats awesome! Maybe one day Ill be able to get my engine bay looking as good as yourself! Keep making more videos!
