Browser wars: Microsoft REALLY doesn't want you to use Google Chrome

It's none of Microsoft's business what I choose to put on my computer....at least it shouldn't be.
If they want to control my PC then, at the very least, they should help me with its purchase.

Edge is a good browser and all (i use it sometimes), but the thing is that Microsoft is forcing it on users and advertising it. And it is not very private. But if you compare the modern and fast Chromium-based Edge and a poor excuse of a browser called EdgeHTML, it is obvious who is the winner here. Edge has definitely improved a lot, but it still needs improvements and more features. If i were to rate it on a scale from 1 to 10, it would be 8-9.

Will Microsoft force Mac users or Linux users to use Edge too!? I bloody well hope not! I've seen ads for edge when trying to get a new browser on a fresh copy of Windows 10, and its really annoying. MICROSOFT!!! 😡

I understand Microsoft is trying to gain their share of the pie in the browser market, but I have a feeling this is going to have repacautions for Microsoft, if they keep doing what they're doing.

To be fair, Google does something similar. Just try to log in to GMAIL or any other Google service with incognito mode from Edge. It will pop up in your face a switch to Chrome every single time. This is no justification for what Microsoft is doing. Both are very annoying in that regard. Microsoft overstepping with those notifications.

I had pop-ups to change my default search engine to Bing in Chrome 😮
