The thing is that kirara is a 4 star

Wanderer got great kit for exploration but he's a limited character unlike Kirara who's a 4* that can be obtain in the standard banner which makes her the best character for newbies that is only started, it makes exploration much easier especially climbing the mountains in Liyue. I wish we got character like her in early days.

Still wanderer is the superior all rounder for exploration

There are 2 schools of thoughts. 1. Wanderer can save a second by elevating when bar is just about empty. 2. Wanderer cannot go up like this if the surface is completely vertical, which make Kirara special in those kind of situation.
I wonder if Kirara can climb walls that are even steeper than 90 degrees?
