How do you have so much Harpers and allies? Are they also from the grove cause i failed to save them in act 1

Geez this fight is full of bullshit...

I good tip for this fight is to take jaheira with you, then instead of going straight through the front door, look for a key on one of the zealots dead bodies on the bridge its called 'moonrise guards key' take left from the front door, if you look you will see some vines your able to climb, after climbing them look to your right and youll see parkour, take the 3 jumps to the balcony and open one of the doors on the balcony with the key. This gives you an opportunity to flank the main entrance guards or just skip it entirely. Either way, the npcs die. they're just too weak.

I killed the first room of enemies then my allies turned on me idk if it’s cause I had water and lightning down and they got hit but I’ve been stuck

My absolute favourite part of this game is missing everything, thanks dices (lord help this games combat)

Use the horn to call ogres, then throw the lantern to call the spectator, then call the guardian by shadowheart, and maybe I have a shot

The hardest part is that it can last for 45 minutes, then all go wrong in just a couple of minutes .

I hate how much I love the difficulty of this. I have never been so happy to have the opportunity to be so frustrated. BG3, the level of love that I have for this game is inexplicable.

I skipped this fight, it is impossible to win if all your allies are already dead at the front of the tower. I used leap potions, teleportations and flight to get to the top of the tower.

I saved all the people at the inn with the winged dude attack just to kill nightsong and have no allies for this fight. SMH

I finally just beat this fight at level 7, it was by far the hardest battle thus far

All of the Harper's are dead in my playthrough 😭😭😭

Update:
Gale changed the game completely, specifically the wall of fire and fireball saved me, so I was able to defeat the cultists on the first floor with only my 4 person party. (Jaehira got herself killed on my first attempt and I didn't feel like redoing everything lol) I haven't done the Ketheric boss battle yet, but I have hope now lol.

Another tip , there are a lot of dead bodies outside would be a mighty shame not to put them to use

I’m lvl 6 trying this fight and I almost had it once

What helped me win this fight was sneaking my two ranged characters into the tower (you can get in from the left side) and positioning one on the rafters above everyone and another in the doorway behind the gnolls. Buy a Scroll of Cloudkill or two and drop it in the middle of the room. This weakens and splits up the encounter from the beginning and makes it much more manageable.

This fight is not mandatory as part of the main quest and I'm pretty sure it is there just as a challenge thats is why the big difficulty spike, just wal around the tower from the left of the entrance until you reach the west entrance, you should be able to reach entrance to the throne room, before proceeding ungroup the party and use hide and jump to reach the staircases to the second floor. Save before going to the second floor so you dont have to so the whole sneaking process, if Jaheira is following the part just have her transform into her panther form and them make her invisible with the form skill.

It’s a night and day different between attacking from the front and sneaking in the side door. Also immediately attacking the enemies who cast blindness (and focusing on in the beginning) before conversation begins is crucial.

Can anyone tell me why I get arrested right after this fight. I’ve done it 3 times and it has happened each time. Quarter master turns on me fast
Is it because of allied fists getting hurt from being in the AoE of a spell or attack?

Bro I don’t have any allies to help me with this! Everybody I come into contact with ends up dying whole towns, villages, every body!

My friend decided to let the harpers die soooo yeaaa now we’re having a hard time killing those guys.😅

Finished the fight but harper leader died. Is that bad? Should I reload?

I don’t understand, I can never use the spells Shadowheart has. I see that some armor are the cause of that but I’m scared my party won’t have enough protection if I remove the armor

Several additional tips for this fight:
- If Jaheira survived and is present, she can be made to join your party (via dialogue option that pops before siege) instead of fighting as an ally controlled by AI. This option does not replace any of your current party members, but adds Jaheira as a temporary companion akin to summons. That allows to get better aid from her, for example from casting her Ice Storm where and when you want.
- Archers on top can be pushed off by Misty Step (to a point near them) + Thunderwave combo / Pushing Shot or Strike (Battle Master Maneures) / Repelling Blast (Warlock's Invocation) etc, dealing heavy damage or even instantly killing them. If you teleport to them and not succeed, they can try to shove you off as well, so casting Feather's Fall before initiating combat in hall can be helpful.
- Z'rell is the most dangerous enemy there (pretty much how it is supposed to be) and should be focused first. Her weaknesses are Cold / Lightning damage (which can be amplified by Wet condition), since her Fire Shield grants Fire resistance instead and Saving Throw spells, since her Mirror Images don't protect against them and these spells usually deal guaranteed damage. She would likely Counterspell first spell cast against her, so start with a distraction spell and when she interrupts it use the main damaging spells. If you quickly focus her, you won't have to deal with her Black Hole and Cone of Cold, both of which are extremely dangerous.

i just tpd half of my team above everyone and threw so many spells and it worked somehow??

Took me about an hour to get it done on balanced I realize the best way to do it was to have a shit ton of AOE scroll spells that’s the best advice I can give anyone

Me finding out I spent hours in the shar gauntlet doing like a million fights so I could make moonrise tower easier . Only to realise it made my life … significantly harder because it was an instant fight with one way in where the enemy spams aoe on you

I lost this once at the end after defeating the Warden, one of the Harper's walked into my Moonbeam and triggered initiative against the Harpers.

If you’re having trouble with the fight. Respec your caster and cast wall of fire right at the top of the staircase. Do not engage have them come to you. Throw bombs shoot arrows and keep healing.

I only got past the checkpoint... Beating the Chic and Gaurds at the Door.... anything past that is a No Go🤦🏾😭😭😭😅

If you tell Jaheira to follow you, you can sneak inside and make the first move, which will surprise all your enemies for that turn. You can focus on beating up the beefy characters

Where did you get all these allies? I only have five characters to try to win this fight and it's proving very difficult.

My MC is a rogue with a ring (?) for misty step, I just run down misty step to the casters and give them the business up close. Astarion also can too with Gloomstalker build. Let the Harpers worry about the archers above, you focus the center. Ez clap.

Somebody is using too many quicksave and quickload during this Battle? I yes ..

yeah im definitely underleveled for this fight, but going farming and taking long rests is too risky

I just cheesed the doors, open doors fire spells, close doors, fuck this fight so fucking overtuned

What i did was kill them one room at a time befofe rescuing the nightsong them after that and a long rest i came back to only fight three of them and then Ketheric

Enter of rhe tower staff girl sells elemantal summon scrolls buy 2 of them and summon them with seperate chracters it helps alot

The fight against Ketheric on the roof was way easier than the fight at the entrance. That makes no fucking sense but this game is cracked i love it

This fight is way easier if you just kill nightsong and do the playthrough when she lives next run. It would help a lot if our helpers did more than shoot 1 arrow each turn and just stand clumped together, they were so useless the only time they took damage was when we get to close and they black hole or Did that huge AOE damage. they could have cared less what those lame ass archers where doing at anytime. Nobody wants NPC to be OP but the other sides casters did 10 times more damage then they dealt out, at least let them take a couple hits one in awhile.

Every time I charged in we got wiped. Ive had success blinding the casters and staying back at the door while keeping ice at the bottom of the stairs to slow their run up the stairs. Then just use ranged attacks as they are making it through the ice and when the casters make it through make it priority to kill them immediately. You stay out of range of all the archers and hopefully wont get put in that stupid cloud

I Still have the big powder explosives from the ancient forge, guess it's time to use it.... 😈

Interesting, I didn't have a cutscene like this. Im assuming its because when the Inn was raided, I wasnt able to prevent Isobel's capture and Jaehira got ganked and died pretty quickly.

We start the fight in the absolute WORST position possible, is there any other way to enter its instant death for me everytime. Hadar hader hader black hole fear EVERYONE DROPS THEIR WEAPONS. im losing my mind

This must be on easy mode. In my game, the mages spam Hadars, Black Hole, and Slow. The NPCs get sucked into a big ball and don't do much to help. The NPCs can't even beat the main mage. She beats all of them.

Reading the comments makes me feel less alone. I'm struggling too

By far the hardest fight so far. Every harper died, and I had to cheese it a bit.
