MiniLab 3 | How To Make a Track

can someone tell me why i cant use the knobs in analog lab V in fl studio? Ive been tryong to fix this for 3 days

@Arturia do the mini lab controllers need any drivers installed? I am stuck in the past 😂 Protools MP9 and iMac iOS 10.6.8. I want to buy the 49 key version but I am hesitant because of compatibility with my old system. I would appreciate the answer or a link to find an answer. Thanks in advance

this guide is useless. recommending loopcloud is a scam, you can't even try it without having to give them your credit card info. you call this a software bundle? i'd like to smash this product now liars.

This is extremely frustrating, I've spent hours trying to set up my minilab3, installed all your software and still can't make music. The 5 programs you say are included with each mini lab is a false statement, you only offer a free trial and upsell these platforms. The instructions can be much more clear. I have already lost much of my enthusiasm about the product.. 

To summarize for other beginners: 
1. Arturia is only for updating your product software 
2. Midi Controler is for assigning what your minilab keys do
3. Analog Lab Intro is where you can scroll through music/sounds and test the notes by pressing your minilab keys. You can also save a playlist here (which I assume you later export to one of your other programs for layering music.
4. You will need another software to actually start making music. This is one of the 5 programs they say are included with each purchase Loopcloud, etc (or Logic Pro). however, all these programs are not included with the purchase, you only get a free trial for a limited time, seems they are just upselling these platforms. 

Good luck, hope they update their instructions and provide a better summary not just for beginners but for all users, seems many folks below are also confused.

Arturia: this is not helpful....this is promotional....

I’m trying to use this video as reference and just stopped on minute 1, so frustrating…. It’s horrible! I got my MiniLab a year ago and haven’t been able to ever use it… Their official website knowledge base for users also has the same actress speaking the same way, with videos edited the same way…

Intro video starts out with Analog labs channels already in Ableton. how did they get there? Skipped an important step that I'm scrambling around trying to figure out. This video makes it all seem easy, but is skipping key info.

A terrible how-to. Instead of actually doing what she says she is going to do, she just looks straight ahead, uninspired, jumping over every important step. "I'm gonna add a drum rack" - but that was already in there. You did't even let us hear the finished thing. Meaningless for all skill levels.

didnt understand why sometimes for record was use pad3 sometimes pad5?

I cannot get Analog Lab Intro to work in Ableton Live. Any suggestions? I guess I need a plug in, that it didn't come with?

After receiving my Minilab 3, I really feel I have to give some feedback. The first thing every beginner (like myself) needs is clear guidance. The video's on your channel seem helpful, but that's if you're familiar with the product. Lots of comments I read are about struggling with the actual set-up. We need a clear path on how to use and what programs to use: which programs are actually included? Which are necessary and why? Which are optional and have a subscription added to them? What are the basic steps to start discovering the device? It seems, for you guys it's all obvious and clear. But I feel me (and lots of other enthousiast) are really struggling with the early stages of understanding the Minilab 3. Pleas: Approach these video's like we are newbies (which we are;)

Your "quick start" is not quick at all. You should think more about beginners. Even this "how to" is so quick, who are you making it for?

Arturia gives you so much free software and discounts on their other products and huge upgrade discounts while keeping all their products high quality. 5 star company ... they are my favorite

i got the minilab 3 and i have to say, for someone brand new to music making its not user friendly at all. i have about 5 different software packages i had to install, creating multiple accounts for them and i still dont know what i am doing

Anyone know if V Collection 9 works fully in Analog Lab 4? I can't get Analog V to work on my system either in standalone or within my DAW? Would really like to buy Collection 9 but, ya know... doubts... :(
