Oh no my friend, power steering absolutely existed back in the 60s. It was mostly an option, usually alongside power brakes... and sometimes even seat belts. That generation of power steering was so over-boosted, you could literally steer your car with one finger.

What I like about BeamNG is regardless if you get it right or not, it’s satisfying and realistic af.

Its very interesting how racing games get more fun as you push past a certain point into the ultra realism / simulation side of things. There aren't many other games that would benefit from going into ultra-realism territory.

The two games I’ve wanted since I was like 13 and first saw them shown off: BeamNG drive and Next Car Game. One of those has become a full blown game which I would say is incredible! I love Wreckfest. And beam is super fun to muck about in and it’s like $20. I love it one of the most fun tech demos/early access games ever!

And Interstate 76 soundtrack is just spot on for this car!

Not many people seem to know but Beamng has a multiplayer mod that works really well. It's called BeamMp.

getting a group of friends to participate in rally racing (but everyone launches at the same time) is a ton of fun.

beamng is worth it alone for the tire model if you dont want to dish out on rfactor2, but its literally Sunday drive simulator so why not get it, it takes a little fiddling in regards to force feedback but the setup is intuitive even if its a bit time consuming for some people.

A tutorial about how to setup the dd1 on that game would be awesome
