Anywho, if I had to sum up Gauss for me personally: Kit is fine, but battery is kind of a pain to maintain. Given that it drains 5 different ways and can only be gained 3 different ways, one of which can't even maintain battery on its own if you have 2 and 4 active (that charging method being movement)

Make battery less of a headache, and he'll be guuchi for me

The fact that maxed Redline affects Mach Rush only in halving the energy cost seems like they didn’t go all in. Gauss is nuts. Have a maxed Redline not only halve the energy cost of Mach Rush, but also double the sprint speed of the ability. Redline hitting 100% is supposed to feel great, it feels good, but for how short the ability remains at 100%, I feel like doubling Mach Rush’s speed would be a nice reward.

Or maybe not double it, but you know, actually have it move Gauss at Mach speed. 767.269MPH, instead of the 55.923MPH it apparently has him running at.

My favorite build for gauss is strength and efficiency with thermal sunder replaced with eclipse. I built my gauss to be tanky, with mods for flight such as aerodynamic, aero vantage, pax soar on a sporelacer and areial ace on acceltra with a nice exodia contagion zaw. You can use mach rush for directional midair movement, flying gives easy battery charge, and with the mentioned weapon mods you can juggle flight long enough to stay in the air for a full 5 rounds of a defense. Using a panzer vulpiphyla with hunter's bond will heal what little damage you do take, and with hunter's munitions on acceltra you can spread the vulpiphyla's spores as virulently as Saryn. Quick thinking is my dirty little not so secret, it works in tandem with the energy generation of his 2 exactly how you think. Finally I use zenurik operator school for emergency refueling, and arcanes that support the rapid weapon swaping playstyle. This build foregoes the crowd control and armor strip of thermal sunder to instead go all in on overwhelming damage and survivability. Nothing will kill you unless it has viral damage or can one shot you through your damage resistance. I have given you the keys to my kingdom, now await with me for the coming of steel path 2.

3 years later, gauss is quite similar. He isnt the fastest, but he shits on them hard, and he is 4th fastest so.. eh?

Volt isn’t a damage, defense or speed frame specifically. It’s a balance of the three, and that’s what makes it a consistently good frame. Useful in all situations.

Kinetic plating is honestly my most used ability because it allows Gauss to just say "fuck that" to virtually ALL staggers and knockdowns.

Idk if this was the case back then, but a quick way to charge battery nowadays is to repeatedly use it against a nearby wall. You’ll charge it in chunks

I've got to say, your channel and this video specifically got me interested in Warframe. i tried to download it on my shitty laptop and it ran like... well shit. but i will never forget the magical experience of booting the game up for the first time. it was when Wukong Prime released. and i didnt know how the game worked.

thing's i desperately wanted was an arch-wing, Wukong Prime and Gauss.
AAHH this is so nostalgic for me, the sound you get when you go over a planet's, that burned itself forever in my memory. i watched playthrough were people talk about were to find resources and were they currently are in the star chart. i was such a noob the furthest i went was Ceres or Jupiter id i remember correctly.

Now, im a "veteran" you could say. im endgame but ive only played a year and a half on console.
i will never forget my decision to redownload warframe after so long, and to be honest it is the best gaming decision ive ever made.

Gauss is pretty much a Ferrari , yea he’s fast and hard to get . But beneath all of that speed and high performance is a gas drinker that costs a lot of time and energy to maintain 🤣

Basically your issue with battery can be taken care of simply
Use Mach rush almost constantly and build for as much duration as possible
The higher the enemy level the better, because more damage = more energy
U do that while shooting everywhere with a bramma or something and you're good!

It's honestly super fun having to rush around etc
And then you got like a whole minute or so where you can stop rushing everywhere when redline hit 100%

I personally thing that sprinting should instead of recharging Shields recharge your energy instead.

I feel like Gauss could be completely fixed if they ditched the energy bar for him entirely and had every ability function off of his battery instead. Like, he always starts every mission at zero battery charge, but he has a passive to build it, and using one of his abilities(probably his 1) in the right way burns some for potential gain(kind of like Nidus). Make his 2 and 3 burn decent amounts of battery to use, and make his 4 into a constant battery drain that either increases burn over time or burns more based on higher battery level, but give benefits off current battery level. Thus meaning the longer you go, the less benefit you get, mitigated by intelligent battery use. Also, have his 4's bonus battery be just that: bonus battery. An overcharge pool for even more benefit at the cost of even more battery burn. And put that shit on a cooldown when deactivated to prevent rapid fire casting mitigating burn. we don't need macros added in here.

Redline should be a channel/toggle ability and not have cooldown.

Would that make him op? Idunno but it would make sense and perhaps make him more fun

I'm happy that I got all of the parts and not regretting the wasting of my time and I'm going to forma gauss a lot just for fun
