So glad I came across your channel. I now work remotely, I’ve moved to a rural area, and I’ve lost almost 50 pounds! I struggle with feeling frumpy since I no longer wear a work wardrobe. I need easy pieces to throw together so I feel and look nice everyday. I definitely need help!

Thank you for this idea of 3 words, it's new to me and really given me a new perspective on how to create my ideal wardrobe and clarifies some of the confusion when I look at my current wardrobe as I have been trying to create a capsule wardrobe but think these 3 words will help better. Totally agree your wardrobe changes with life style and different stages of your life. Something you hit on is texture I like the look of plain linen clothes but the fabric feels too heavy for me and won't give the freedom of movement and I noticed this summer I wore more lightweight flowy fabric dresses. I have also noticed I have a lot of lightweight crotched jumpers which I can easily slip over dresses if additional warmth is needed. I'm 67 and love the boho/hippie vibe but also like military jackets or jackets with button details which is a bit of a contradiction but fun when I think about it and of course the classic cowgirl jeans vibe. Perhaps I need 3 words for each season which will encompass these different Vibes? Food for thought 😊

I have moved to a beachside town, also retired and have taken up sewing cloths so this is just what i need to be able to choose my material for my life at present. I know i am drawn to bold colour material, i tend to sew fitted type design with structure and i always like my outfits to look a bit different. So there it is my words would be , colourful, unique and structure❤. Thank you that was fun.

I loved tour video! I'm 22 and I feel like Im growing out of my teen style, while I still like a few things about it. Basically, I've always dressed goth/emo-ish, but very teen, very over the top and 'in your face'. I still love wearing an all black outfit with some big boots, but more 'mature' maybe, more relaxed, more elongated and feminine. I'll be trying to figure out my three words now! Thank you very much

I believe my three words would be comfortable, casual, and simple.

I think my words might be Flowy, romantic, comfortable. I have a lot of dresses some long sleeve some short sleeved that are empire waisted with loose flowing skirts. I have a number of shirts in that style too. Many pieces include lace or floral patterning. For shorts I have a ton of black shorts made of a linen rayon blend and some varicolored stretchy jean shorts. For pants I usually wear variously patterned or black leggings or loose wide leg soft knit pants.
Winter tops are very basic fitted t shirts with graphics or long sleeved patterned scoop necks.
If someone thinks another word might fit better I would love to have opinions!

Wonderful video to help explain the 3 word method! A big struggle I have with referencing outfits others are wearing is I compare body shapes! I have a hard time with this. I stray from lookbooks for that reason because I have a bad habit of comparing myself to others. I wonder how others get around this while still being able to appreciate outfits on others. I ask myself, is it more the outfit I like or the body I wish I had?

I was nervous when I first heard about this method, as I didn't think my personal style could be boiled down to three words. Then I thought maybe I could, if I gave three sets of three words to each of my lifestyle wardrobes: work, casual/weekend, and gym. After thinking it over some more, I realized that I really wanted three words that tied each of my lifestyles together and would allow me to minimize clutter in my closet. So, finally, I came up with three words to describe me and what I want to keep moving toward: Edgy, Elegant, and Easy-Going. Thank you for this wonderful and eye-opening method!

Comfortable, confusing, cheap describe my current style. I don’t know what my aspirational style is yet, but as I build my wardrobe from here on I intend to only have natural fibers except in special circumstances. It’s gonna take awhile.

Well I guess I just learned I basically have a closet full of pajamas, or....that I wear pajamas 24 hours a day, both at home and out. So I literally just put all the t-shirts and sweatshirts and leggings and etc into one closet for sleep and lounging, and put everything else into the other closet to actually wear out of the house. This right here will be an upgrade to my presence in the world. Thanks!
