[Solved] Cast To Device Not Working In Windows 11 || 4 Easy Fixes

my problem it casts ok, but will stop casting mid way through watching something.

Still not working. Chromecast will work but if I try "Cast to device" the TV is simply not listed. It used to work fine, started lagging after switching to Windows 11 - so I removed the device and added it again, and now it doesn't even show up as an option

Pretty sure its not anything to do with any of these methods. I can go to chrome and cast and it sees the tv. But windows 11 can't see it. Makes no sense.

None of them worked for me. My computer is hardwired, because it's a desktop and has no Wi-Fi Device in it, but it is connected to the same network.

My pc (asus win 10) connected wifi ip v4
My tv (LG smart webos connected Lan ip v6
Not mirror to tv

Windows 11 refuses to see my TLC R635. Windows just says no wireless display detected. I've tried everything, even got Microsoft support to take control remotely and they had no clue. And none of whats shown here works.

In any case try updating your driver for wifi/ethernet in device manager. I use driver booster 8 to update mine and it works

correction...i disabled Avast Premium security for one hour. However, if i turn it back on, it disconnects

yay, solution number 1 worked immediately!

I have avast one and I had to tell it that my wi-fi connection i was on was a trusted network - this solved the problem for me.

Thanks a lot, after two days, I finally found solution which helps me.

I can cast to roku tv but nothing works there

Jesus Christ after several days I finally fixed it. If nothing seems to work try this:
1. Search for "Device Manager"
2. Check your Network adapters
3. See if "Wifi Direct" devices are disabled. If so activate them.
(3.1. If they are activated, try to reinstall the driver)
