The HX711 isn't an amplifier. It's a serial output 24-bit A/D converter with a pre-amp. There are no amplifier output pins as you would have with an op-amp (i.e., the amplifier output is neither accessible nor useful for gain control). There are two pre-set gains on input A (64 or 128) and input B always has a gain of 32.

Hi, I am using a one button load cell (Load Cell - 200kg, Disc (TAS606)) to measure weight, it has allready 5 wires, so I am just connecting it to HX711 to amplify the output. Now the problem is the reading are very unstable, swaying around very fast. Is there a way to satbilise its readings? Thanks for your help

I am new to the world of Audrino IDE. I am trying to build a scale using in-line load cells to a junction box to an amplifier to an Audrino Uno R3. I have a display hooked into the Audrino. I am looking to put fasteners onto the scale and convert the weight to PC count and have it show on the display. I am having problems on which libraries to load in the IDE and the proper coding to use to get the results that I seek. Any suggestions????

Hi. Would you mind creating a content taking 3 (50 kg) load cells working independently each other and conected to an Arduino Uno in order to replicate de pressure put on pedals of a race simulator pedals (Throttle, Brake and Clutch)? I got no skills on eletronics and want try this upgrade on my old sim racing pedals, changing from potenciometers to load cells reading. If you don't mind, of course. Thanks in advance!!!

Great video. I have one question, what is the problem if the load cell can't detect any Calibration it is still a 0 value? First, I already did but now it didn't get the calibration factor. The load cell, module, and wiring are good. I don't know what is that the problem

Please someone help me I am going insane.

How is this application applicable outside of this specific task? I mean I can get a cheap scale for $8 bucks compared to make one using such sensors (I bet)... lol... My point being that this whole setup is totally dependent on the custom script and so it completely overlooks the essentials of what is actually going on... Its like omg that +200 lines of code (like wtf)...

Do you know how long the latency is for the Arduino to realize that the force changed?

I want to build a Party game that involves the player to jump. So I do not need the exact weight but I would like to keep the latency <300 ms.

1 cell supports 50kg, so 4 of them should be around 200kg max reading? or they don't work like this? asking as I'll need to weight 80kg, a water tank. Atm I'm using this to weight a 30kg water tank and it's working great :D

Hi Indrek, many thanks for your very well prepared lecture. Can you do me a favour and explain to me, why the wiring, which you describe for the 4 loadcells, ensures the proper power supply and measurement. Somehow I cannot see there, why this circular wiring supplies the loadcells with the proper voltage.
Thanks in advance, Detlev

Hi Indrek. I have been trying to follow this video and I assembled the parts to build the 2x50kg. I am using an ESP32 wroom instead of the Arduino but it seems when I do the calibration, there is a big variation of values while measuring and if I remove the weight or add more weight, it doesn't update for the correct weight.

Could you help me to find the reason? Is there something extraordinary we need to consider if we use the ESP32-WROOM?

Thank you in advance.

My friend I have a question. If I have 3 HX711, how can I get the same rate measurement?
I tried to connect the 3 HX711 to the same SCK pin in my microcontroller but it does not run. But when I try with a different SCK pin for each HX711 it runs but with different rates.

Is it possible just to wire amplifier to a analog display without arduino? Maybe it doesnt make any sense, but as i said, im pretty new to this.

Hey there, this is probably a long shot given that this video was uploaded in 2020, but I'm trying to get a single load cell working and I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm getting a constant fluctuation in the values and the cell does not respond to the actual weight being put on it. Maybe you can help? I've looked everywhere on the web and cannot find a definitive answer.
