Recording Audio Using ZOOM H5 On Iphone 6 And On

I was thinking of using line out into the 1/8 jack of my iPhone so I can charge my phone. I am planning on connecting 4x Sure SM58 + earphones for monitoring. Could that work?

Hi, thank you for great video. Pity you have to use the H5's battery and not an external supply when you are at home or studio and not in the field. On my old H4, I used a powered usb mini hub which let power and audio through. Also h4 had and external 5v input separate from usb...

thanks! after hooking it up with the iPhone, I notice I lose all the clipping threshold options I had on the defauit mode on my recorder. 
Since I use it for my drumming it's important. So, is there a way to reconfigure this settings to avoid clipping while my iPhone is connected????

Instead of stereo can I use the multitracks

Can I simply use the line out port on the zoom H5 to plug it directly into my iphone using a 3.5 mm to lightning port cable? We don't have the adaptor for USB to lightning right now.

Hi! Does Zoom H5 have powered USB port? With Zoom H1 and iPhone I get that message that the device uses too much power and it doesn't work. So it just work directly connected to iPhone without using any other power source?
