I’m still searching for a movie that I seen when I was young. Have no idea the name of it. All I remember is an 18 wheeler was stolen and had a silver car inside of it. I want to say it was probably between the years 1989-1995 maybe. Been looking for years with no luck

How can half of these movies be considered forgotten when they show up on so many different lists.

Other than the narrator's annoying voice being covered with the crappy background music, the actual movies were worth enduring this video for.

I would say Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry is to most famous of those. One you missed was Hi Riders. This was a D movie but a lot of fun.

Nice to see Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry make the list. Also glad you did not mention the "shock" ending, as, even though it's LOOOONG past the usual "spoiler" warning, it deserves for the watcher these days to appreciate/experience it. I think the movie is rather unique among such movies specifically for this ending.

It is, however, odd that you mention Cannonball, but fail to mention its predecessor, "Gumball Rally", which is the true precursor to Cannonball Run, yet is also quite forgotten.

Just watched Hot Rods to Hell from 1966..starring Dana Andrews moving his family to California but encounters some souped up punks looking for kicks on the highway.

Thumbs Down. Bullet and Vanishing point should have been in the TOP 3.

I was betting I'd seen at least 8 of these before watching. I've actually seen all 10 and have 7 on DVD. So here's a list of 10 even more forgotten car chase movies (I've only got 3 of these on DVD). Most of them are good-to-great:

Return to Macon County (1975) Nick Nolte, Don Johnson running from the cops who are after a girl they picked up.
Double Nickels (1977) Cops think they're repossessing cars but are actually stealing them.
Shaker Run (1986) Cliff Robertson, Leif Garrett help a female scientist keep a bioweapon out of the military's hands.
Goodbye Pork Pie (1981 New Zealand) Two guys trying to get to Invercargill in a yellow Mini, pursued by police.
Black Cat Run (1998) Gas station attendant chasing convicts who grabbed his girlfriend. Cops chase him thinking he did it.

How come 'Vanishing Point' was mentioned but not shown. Many people have never heard of that movie. I'm unable to forget it.

Hey! Did anyone notice the License Plate on the car Peter Fonda was driving at the beginning of 'Dirty Mary Crazy Larry'? It read: RIG911. Hmm.

Americans have had a speed bug implanted in their heads. Don't you think so? Remember the song 'I can't drive 55'. So many cars these days can top speed at nearly 3 times the legal speed limit of 65. Isn't that kind of scary?

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry by far is my favorite car chase movie. Seen it hundreds of times and having grown up in the Bay Area Ca I’ve been to many of the filming locations just over the Altamont hills. Places like Tracy, Linden and Sonora. Some landmarks are still there and some have disappeared to progress.
