thank you! that's actually the greatest advice I've heard to use naked Gutenberg; as Im trying to develop skills I was like first trying to most/best popular them/plugin out there (i've found Kadence pretty solid here), to learn it and eventually buy the pro version; but learning Gutenberg first makes total sense, not usre where I got this idea that if everybody is a 3rd party stuff the included one should be lame...
ОтветитьNo matter what I do, I can not get the preferences to Save. I de-selct 'full screen mode' and select 'top toolbar'. I go to Preferences and select 'alwasy open list view'. Then, I go to start a new page and those preferences are not saved. Super frustrating.
ОтветитьI would love to use naked Gutenberg to make sure my site runs faster without third-party plugins and themes making it slow. However, the core WordPress theme still looks very basic and does not have the kind of customisation that third=party themes and plugins provide. The look and feel of basic WP is still very elementary.
ОтветитьTruly good content!!!
ОтветитьBrilliant. Thank you.
ОтветитьHi Jamie! I've been watching your videos while revamping a website. Some themes have set a front page already set, and I can't change my home page via the reading settings. Do you know a workaround around that?
ОтветитьNice video, thanks!
ОтветитьI've been using the 2023 theme with 6.2-beta for a few weeks now, and it's still quite useless when it comes to trying to emulate my main Kadence based site. I had all but given up while waiting for 6.2 in the last 3 months. I've been spending more and more time with Deno Fresh and TailwindCSS waiting for WP 6.2 and atm it's a 50/50 toss up which way to go. Maybe WP for e-commerce, and Fresh for all else.
ОтветитьYes, Jaime! As you mentioned the best way to start is with no 3rd parties plugin blocks I learned a lot by watching how you create sites with Gutenberg,.Now I am trying with Kadence Blocks! But I have not really understood at this moment why the WordPress built-in blocks are known as Gutenberg and not just as WordPress Blocks? 🤔
ОтветитьExcellent! Thank you,
ОтветитьAlways helpful content for us beginners! Thank you :)
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьThank you once again for helping me to get even better with Gutenberg
ОтветитьI added the Block editor outline 1st. Will certainly remove a bunch of blocks that I will never use. Thanks...
ОтветитьEXCELLENT AS ALWAYS. Thank you..
ОтветитьGreat tips for those want to know more on Gutenberg.
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьExcellent tips! Thanks Jamie!!
Ответитьvery helpful - the basics keep getting better, so I like maybe not needing extra features quite yet - here's to spending 3-4 hours back on 1st base. Thank you Jamie
Ответить#4 - Not a tip but something to be aware of - when 6.2 is released at the end of this month, the list view is being renamed to 'Document Overview' All for now, late here!
Ответить#3 - if your running out of horizontal real estate, switch to Full screen mode again via the 3 dot menu.
Ответить#2 - if the tool bar is getting in the way, switch to Top Tool bar via the 3 dot menu Jamie mentioned.
ОтветитьI'm going to add some more as I think of them: #1 Turn off blocks you are rarely or never going to use in Preferences - blocks tab page.
