Treatment for Dyspnea or Shortness of Breath

This is year 8 😢

My first attack of this I actually died, I just woke up feeling my chest tight and I was being choked, I'm just breathing so fast and tried holding my breath but I couldn't cause of the pain I panicked a bit I sprayed my Inhaler so fast that I barely got any medicine properly after that It all turned black.

Then I just woke up with an oxygen mask and dextrose on my right hand, Of course they asked me what I remembered I told them I had an Asthma attack and how it felt for me, Then explained to me what it really is and how I got here they told me this is Dyspnea because of my Asthma or Genetics and then how they found me, My Grandmother found my body just kneeling on the ground and leaning beside of the couch 5 mins after it happened and that she rushed me through the hospital without hesitating, I was napping at the living room at that time after school.

The feeling of Dying is kind of cold and smooth in a good way like when you get into an air-conditioned room when you've been at the heat all day In My Opinion atleast.

Everything felt so fast I believe the time it happened was right around 4PM and then I just woke up at the hospital bed at 11PM When I saw the wall clock after this my grandmother told me how she found me though I broke her back because of my dead body and she couldn't stand or walk properly for 3 months but I'm glad she healed from that

I've been dealing with this for awhile. I'm 39 and I'm having a huge flare up now. I believe my career has made it worse (CNA, studying LPN and Phlebotomy) due to suiting up during the Pandemic. I've had to resign unfortunately. I also have Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia & Dysphagia. I'm on Phase 1 & 2 Diet rn until my Endoscopy next month. I've been to the ER 3 times in 4 days with very little help and understanding. They all say, "Your O2 levels are fine. Your lungs are clear." O2 Saturation has nothing to do with Shortness of Breath due to illness, you breathe in more carbon monoxide. Extremely dangerous especially when you tell the medical crew what your illnesses are. For 2 weeks I dealt with Aspiration and I kept being sent home. I stopped taking all medications and staying awake bc I was too scared to go to sleep. (2019 my daughter, 9 months old died in her sleep due to heart & SIDS. 2020 My Grandmother died in her sleep from Lung Cancer and COPD complications, 2021 my Mom died of Covid Pneumonia. 2022 My Grandfather died in his sleep from Alzheimers and Cirrhosis of the Liver)...so as you can imagine...I've been a nervous wreck. I recently quit 🚬 due to being so scared of not being able to breathe. The only Dr I feel is listening is my Heart Dr and I'm on a monitor rn. I'm so disappointed in the Healthcare Industry, especially seeing as I'm one of them. This is a warning: Don't misjudge even the slightest single of symptom flare ups and get a 2nd opinion! I will keep each and every one of you in my prayers. I claim we are all healed in Jesus name and the blood of the lamb AMEN!

I feel like the left side of my body and my heart is week, i feel some weight there, like something is there but it seems ok like other side and i also didnt get enough oxygen when i breathe i litteraly struggle some times while iam breathing, and only a deep breathe gives me an comfort for some time...i have consulted many doctors who keep saying me that iam fine ....does any one feels like me

It’s been 6 months, been to the doctor’s office like billion times. I even ripped 2 chest muscles, simply by dying for air. Idk, this never happened to anyone I know. I’m a student, and the only time it gets better is when I’m super busy. I don’t smoke, but I’ve vaped in the past do you think this could’ve caused it, or do you know anything about that ??

😣This happened to me after I took zinc 100mg and I got nausea then after 4days I got anxiety attacks and my heart raced and after that I have shortness of breath till now

im crying right now because of this. i think im dying or whatsoever. 😭 i cant breatheeee

I had shortness of breath last 2020 and came back from first week of January 2022 it lasted for 3 weeks then came back again today,when i lean over i feel a little breathless. Standing up and lay down also makes me breathless

I'm facing this problem from last 2 years.
I wish I could go to see a doctor myself but I can't, my parents don't listen to me, they don't understand what I am actually going through. I already knew that I had dyspnea but everytime I had these attacks, they would tell me that it's because of my stomach... they're not even literate and educated but they always do this to me, always self medicate me (when i came to know what those unprescribed meds do to human body, i stopped taking them, my parents used to force me to eat but i quietly threw all of them away).... Last night, I cried a lot bcz of this, as always, i couldn't breathe all the way inside...i felt like someone was choking my neck... I'm able to breathe out but not in...so i begged them to take me to the doctor...and yk what that doctor didn't even listen to me...my parents told him that I had stomach ache which i never had 🙂 and he just prescribed me a stomach ache medicine....i wonder how he became a doctor???!!



Idk what to do now.
I wish I was old enough to go and get treatment for this (if that exists?) .... Unfortunately... I'm unlucky in everything. I think I'm gonna die soon. This is killing me. I can't even scream here ('girls' who scream are considered crazy and taken to mental hospitals, i am serious)......why was I even born....
I'm sorry for ranting here.... I'm just unwell...my mental health is messed up too

This is day 4 of feeling like I cannot breathe all day. It is so uncomfortable!!! I am literally on my hands and knees gasping for air sometimes. Never able to take a full breath. I went to the ER two nights ago and they did chest X-ray and blood work and pulse oxygen check and said everything was fine and sent me home. And my covid test was negative. I feel like I’m dying. I need relief!

I got fluid build up around my lung, I still have some but the doctor told me it should get rid off own is on.

I’m a 15 year old old and i vape like everyday, I started 2 weeks ago, yesterday after I vaped I felt like my lungs where hungry and needing air, idk if I can explain this but the air is going in my lungs uncomfortably, like I don’t feel the taste of the breath, anyway I went to the hospital they gave me oxygen thing and I felt a little better, the next day at home i vaped and it came back again, I need helppppp

Hey guys, not sure if the comment section is active but I’m a fit 20 year old who goes to the gym regularly and has a decent diet. I get the sensation I can’t take deep breathes fully and struggle for breathe after lifting the past few weeks. Does anyone have any idea if I could have dyspnea or something else? Cheers!

I have this, try inhaling steam with salt on it. It gets better just repeat this 3x a day

You could also try diaphragmatic breathing, pursed lip breathing, black coffee, or steam inhalation.

After 8 weeks I still have some shortness of breath from covid. I am wondering if I will ever fully recover? I am a runner and had no health issues prior to the virus. I might just have to accept my lot in life, not sure.

Medications cause shortness of breathe. Benzodiazepines.

Where is the treatment? Drugs again! Waste my time. I want natural healing tactics.

I have trouble taking deep breath. Feels like i can't go all the way if u understand. This happens in both rested state and while active. Yet I don't really get exhausted as in I need to take a break or anything. I just have the sensation I can't fill my lungs. I have had a pretty nasty cough that comes and goes in make about three weeks intervals, but I'm also smoking, sooo not really any excuses. I hope this is anxiety, but it's always this doubt. Any feedback?
